This is set in Utah back in the mid 1800' s, series is bad azz, lots of violence between the Mormons, Indians, Army and who ever else gets in the way!

Check it out, talking about the wild west. Every episode is full of some type of action, never a dull moment!

Surely, it’s not all that bloody. Reminds me of the Revenant.

It is, and it was co-written by the Revenant writer.

I just finished it. I liked it. Kinda disappointed that a few of the main characters were killed off. Its bloody for sure. slow moving. Ill watch the second season if they make one.

I was thinking it reminded me of the Revenant movie several times while I was watching it. I guess that`s why.

The bad guys sure use a lot of ammo when they're in the middle of nowhere. 'Don't see any mules with cartridge crates in the background.

Maybe it's prior to cartridges, but that makes it even worse.

Hell On Wheels was good at the beginning showing what a PITA reloading even a cartridge pistol was back then.

Did those pistols use cartridges'?

There was that scene where those bad guys were reloading and got killed. I believe Texas Rangers, the firearm they used, allowed one to carry multiple pre-load cylinders.


Wolves trying to break in was a bit over the top, particularly after the first shot. But it was much better than other crap streaming.

The attack on the wagon train is based on true events. Utah was a violent place in those days.

Wow, the account is much sadder (and lacking any semblance of honor) than portrayed in the show. One guy, tried and executed, 20 years later.
