16" .22 Creedmoor, that is going to wear the thermal scope. I needed a scope for load development. It sure looks out of place.

7-35 ATACR doubled the weight of the rig! Bet it shot well.

You could take the sunshade off and loose 3-4" of scope. If it works stay with it.

I think my AR that's at your place looks ridiculous. Your rifle told mine to hold its beer. Good thing looks don't matter.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

It looks like the Hubble telescope mounted on a Daisy BB gun. Ain't no BB gun. I worked on a 16" 22 Creedmoor today. 80.5 gr Berger. This load shot 3212 fps. And it shot this tight, partially because I could see. God bless great rifle scopes and nice triggers! 200 Yards

Is it me, or is the scope bigger than the rifle? Compensating for something?

Several loads I tried are giving me some shiny on the case heads. Ejector circles.
Today, I'm going to try some lighter loads. If I end up going back to that load, or any other load I end up on, it will be shot out to 800 yards.
Back to why I bought a thermal with a Mil reticle in it. From the living room, I can see 500 yards with no obstructions. I can see 800 yards, but with some trees in between.

The first priority was getting a stock or a chassis quickly. This was to my door in four days. AG Composites will take 12 weeks. Manners and McMillan will take 6 months. The KRG Bravo is less than $500. Manners, McMilan, AG Composites is $800 plus $250 bottom metal. It doesn't seem too ugly to me.

To me in general chassis setups are not aesthetically pleasing. This is my tackdriver. Old school style but works. It's a switch barrel rifle using shouldered prefits. Have 260 and 308 barrels for it.

This rifle lives on a tripod, in my living room, 90% of the time. The chassis works, and is comfortable to shoot.
It is the only one I have. The rest are composite stocks. I've got several Manners, one McMillan, and one AG Composites. I like stocks better. But, again, this was about getting a barreled action, and trigger into something, in a timely fashion. I've got no need to change it. It works.

If it's just going to sit on a tripod, then the chassis is serving only as an interface between the barreled action and the tripod. Nothing wrong with practicality (even if it's homely! ).

Well if it is going to sit on a tripod in front of a window I feel Walnut would probably be fine. However I bet it will do it's duties just fine. Interested in getting myself a tripod around the right height for sitting.

Don't think I'd walk across the room to get a better look at that one. Call me shallow. Or just old.
