Hah did you go out of your way to find a particularly ugly stock?

The first priority was getting a stock or a chassis quickly. This was to my door in four days. AG Composites will take 12 weeks. Manners and McMillan will take 6 months. The KRG Bravo is less than $500. Manners, McMilan, AG Composites is $800 plus $250 bottom metal. It doesn't seem too ugly to me.

To me in general chassis setups are not aesthetically pleasing. This is my tackdriver. Old school style but works. It's a switch barrel rifle using shouldered prefits. Have 260 and 308 barrels for it.

This rifle lives on a tripod, in my living room, 90% of the time. The chassis works, and is comfortable to shoot.
It is the only one I have. The rest are composite stocks. I've got several Manners, one McMillan, and one AG Composites. I like stocks better. But, again, this was about getting a barreled action, and trigger into something, in a timely fashion. I've got no need to change it. It works.

If it's just going to sit on a tripod, then the chassis is serving only as an interface between the barreled action and the tripod. Nothing wrong with practicality (even if it's homely! ).

Well if it is going to sit on a tripod in front of a window I feel Walnut would probably be fine. However I bet it will do it's duties just fine. Interested in getting myself a tripod around the right height for sitting.

Don't think I'd walk across the room to get a better look at that one. Call me shallow. Or just old.
