Hah did you go out of your way to find a particularly ugly stock?

The first priority was getting a stock or a chassis quickly. This was to my door in four days. AG Composites will take 12 weeks. Manners and McMillan will take 6 months.

The KRG Bravo is less than $500.

Manners, McMilan, AG Composites is $800 plus $250 bottom metal.

It doesn't seem too ugly to me. wink

I have heard great things about the KRG Bravo at its price point.

I was just being a smart azz. To me in general chassis setups are not aesthetically pleasing. This is my tackdriver. Old school style but works.

It's a switch barrel rifle using shouldered prefits. Have 260 and 308 barrels for it.

This rifle lives on a tripod, in my living room, 90% of the time. The chassis works, and is comfortable to shoot.

It is the only one I have. The rest are composite stocks. I've got several Manners, one McMillan, and one AG Composites. I like stocks better. But, again, this was about getting a barreled action, and trigger into something, in a timely fashion. I've got no need to change it. It works.

If it's just going to sit on a tripod, then the chassis is serving only as an interface between the barreled action and the tripod. Nothing wrong with practicality (even if it's homely! trout ).

I don't need a break. It beats a Walnut stock, without a vertical grip, that's going to move with weather changes.

I said what I said.

Well if it is going to sit on a tripod in front of a window I feel Walnut would probably be fine. However I bet it will do it's duties just fine. Interested in getting myself a tripod around the right height for sitting.

Don't think I'd walk across the room to get a better look at that one. Call me shallow. Or just old.
