You have to treat the subs like you are hunting with a handgun as far as taking normal vital shots. Otherwise, headshots will put everything down very easily.

The arguement about knowing your dope is kind of irrelevant these days with exposed turrets. The trajectory isn't *that* bad on them and really it is good practice for stepping into more advanced precision shooting. Anyone not dialing or using mil/moa reticles is just purposely making it difficult for themselves on the 300blk.

I mean, yes, anything can be compensated for by twisting the knobs. But it's pretty suboptimal to have like 11 inches of drop over 50 yards from 100 to 150. Unless you're in a position where you're ranging every shot it's just not practical to hunt with 300blk subs beyond bad breath distance.

Right, but like a handgun (let's say .357 or .44 magnum), you wouldn't be taking shots past 100 yards for the most part. I'm speaking of shots under 100, where people are concerned with it having an arching trajectory. I don't know, maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Like many, I’ve used the suppressed super sonic Barnes 110 grain ttsx/tac-x with perfect satisfaction. I’ve seen no reason to change other than bullet availability. I bought some 95 grain controlled chaos bullets a while back, but have yet to test them.
