I'm pretty sure all the UP cases for sale at Starline mfg, the Sig mfg cases will all have a WC headstamp and they are what we primarily load ammo with.

My latest case batches: The speer 110's were with the wc headstamp. The ph 125's and the v-max 110's still have the starline headstamps.

Booked a 3 day hunt in Alabama for late March, hopefully still cool but not cold and before the bugs get out of hand. Being a single/unattached guy, getting ticks off my back isn't something I want to have to figure out.

What are you going after?

A couple of buds and I are going to the Bar JP ranch between Uvalde and Del Rio for Addax and Oryx in early April

Hogs. It's cheaper and no limit. The other hunt I was on, it was 2 hogs, then $250 per after that. I'm hoping for one of those Texas kinda hunts where I'm looking at a whole sounder.

Bill, have you shot the Ham'r out of long barrels... 22-24"? What did you see for velocity in those? I see the Nulas are 16 and 18". I assume you did and didn't see enough of a difference for there to be a difference (Paul Harrell phrasery there).

Everything Bill has posted previously is that he has seen roughly 25fps per inch - so you might gain 100-125fps depending on situation.

The question is does that make any difference realistically in trajectory or terminal ballistics at the ranges you would use a 300 ham'r at?

The longest barrel I've tried is 20" and 18" is probably the "sweet" spot for velocity/vs length, but I run suppressors on almost all my guns so 16" works best for me

We have a limited # of Savage Lightweight Storm stainless rifles that we converted to 300 HAM'R available. These made very good rifles and they have long mag boxes like our NULA rifles which allows for increased performance and bullet choices. Order # is SLS300H $1199.

Mr. Wilson, great looking Savage rifle. I recently purchased a NULA in 300 ham'r and called yesterday to purchase this Savage as well but customer service indicated it was not available yet. Please add another post when it is available for purchase.

I am a big fan of your company and the great products you build, and I've learned a lot from this forum. Thank you.

GA Hog Hunter
You are going to be a happy camper with the NULA! By far, the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Welcome to the group.

Thank you. Great rifle for sure. Going to let my son use Nula for deer and keep the Savage under the truck seat. Appreciate Mr. Wilson getting it posted for sale.

Thanks for showing the bullet. What did the hog think of it? Reaction? Where was he hit? Were they factory loads?

I'll be using the same bullet on hogs in May. Please share your thoughts. TY.

"Group think" is not thinking. It is the lack of independent thought. It is a cancer of the mind.

Dropped where it stood. Bullet went through the shoulder area and was recovered just under the skin slightly in front of the offside shoulder. Reloaded using the Speer/Wilson Combat 130gr hot-cor bullet. This particular cartridge was made with cut LC24 5.56 case, using 27.7 grains of CFEBLK powder. OAL was what Bill Wilson recommended in his reloading data on his website. I'm using Winchester no. 41 primers. It's near a max charge if I remember correctly. Cases and primers look good with no ejector swipes. It's just about a duplicate of the Factory load i bought. Im sure the slight difference could be due to powder/primer lot variations. Depending on the day, I'm getting anywhere from 2475-2495fps using an 18in barrel, shooting over a Labrador. My rifle is suppressed with a Sandman S. I'm using a Superlative Arms adjustable gasblock in the restricted mode.

Looks like it tumbled, folding the petals back forward and then over again to fold them in on themselves.... either that or they just mushed inward from the beginning. Can't argue with bang flops though. Nice job. I wonder what DJs 125 TNTs look like after encountering a hog.

I can't really say if it tumbled or not. Although The base of the round was facing the direct it was fired from. I know it doesn't have the beautiful mushroom of the Speer Gold Dots fired from a 6.8 Spc, but it kills just as good or better from what I'm seeing. Sure, is cheaper to reload for.
