She’s too stupid to be owning any firearm.

I have had lot of MRI's and have always had to change into one of the supplied gowns. I really wonder where she had the gun concealed.
I wonder if she has to wear headphones to tell her to breath in, breath out.

I almost understand forgetting a handgun in a backpack or bag and getting to security with it, but getting into an MRI machine with one strapped on? Unfortunately they breed and vote.

Yep, usually a gown, keep your undies on, followed by the question any pacemakers, or metal of any sort in or on you.....?

How do you forget you have a loaded gun in your underwear? whip

Maybe that wasn’t the only thing she had stuck up there…

You can head off the gown thing by wearing gym shorts with no metal and a solid color t-shirt. At least you can at my hospital.

I always wear cotton gym shirts and a cotton muscle shirt. Those gowns are too hot for me and intensify my anxiety.

That was 25 years ago.... I'm sure things have changed.

I did one time get stopped from bringing a regular cylinder of O2 into the room by the MRI Tech, I had to go back and get an aluminum one. hammer

I usually wear sweat pants and a pullover shirt.

I hear ya on the anxiety. I have white coat syndrome. Doctors and medical care facilities are NOT my thing!

It was definitely a gun. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t get those items mixed up in a news article.

We dont make you change into a gown, but we do use a Garrett metal detector to double check before letting anyone even in the MRI room. A while back we did have an EVS worker take a floor buffer into the room and it got sucked into the magnet. Ended up having to quench the machine to get it out.

I just had an MRI done on my elbow, which I have to have surgery on Jan 6th bang, but they had both 30.06 and 30.07 signs on the door. I didn’t have my gun because I remembered this very story lol.

Had mine done in August with surgery. Hope it’s not to reattach the tendon from a torn bicep for you. It’s been a looooooooong recovery for me! Do your PT if so!

Exterior carpi radialis brevis is the name of the tendon I’m having reattached. It’s the tendon associated with Tennis/Golf Elbow and runs down to your fingers not up to bicep I believe. The Orthopedic Surgeon seemed to think it was going to be a pretty speedy recovery. He said basically do nothing for a week after surgery, then don’t do anything strenuous for 6-8 weeks after that. He said 80% of his patients don’t need PT, I’ll probably do it anyway because PT saved me from having to get surgery on my rotator cuff so I know PT works wonders.
