My boys and I have had a heck of a season. My oldest had connected on two great management deer, we hunt two different ranches and he's become the go to management deer hunter! He getting closer to getting the green light on a trophy, maybe next season.

My lil guys is still hunting a management buck but was able to knock down a big mature doe after school one evening, the beauty of having one place near the house!

I hadn't been behind the trigger at all this season but last weeks cold front had me itching to get out. Headed out west Monday and was in the stand Tuesday morning. It was a brisk morning with a north wind in my face. I watched a good mature 8 for a while, after about 45 minutes he finally disappeared into some thick brush when I notice some movement to my left. This buck was on a mission and could quickly tell he was a good one. I watched him make it to the river and saw him cross below me, I was at a spot that over looks the river from a high vantage point. Know he was possible going to get behind me pretty quick I stepped out of the blind and peeked over the edge into a marshy area. There he stood at about 95 yds, I dropped to my belly and soon as I him in scope I squuezed one off with the 26 Nosler. It happened so quick, I didn't hear an impact and no buck on the ground. I played it all back and slowly worked my way around to look into the marshy area from a different angle and quickly spotted my buck!

Awesome. The pic of your son with the moon made me think you were using the antlers to measure his height...he looks to be about 14" high
