What do y'all do for new barrel break in? What kind of loads do you use, light, medium or heavy loads? How many rounds would you call a break in amount?

There are you tube videos you can check out, I seen one where the dude did it and called it fire lapping.
Ilovemuzzleloading is a good channel to check out.

I never did a break in on my CVA wolf as that was during covid when you couldn't find powder and bullets. It now has close to 100 shots on it.

Just shoot them, and clean it when you are done.

I’ve never done a break in on any muzzleloader. 5 rifles and one pistol so far with zero issues.

I don’t see the point. You can’t store it fouled. The limit of your first three shots, starting with a clean cold bore, is your limit. Blackhorn 209 might change that, I don’t know.

I appreciate the responses and didn't know if I needed to do anything different with the newer barrels of today. Fire in the hole. rifle
