The sale price mentioned is no longer available. As a general observation, 81.4% of the time, the most popular vendors offer the lowest prices on powder in any given month and provide the deepest discounts during sales. These vendors include Powder Valley, Midway, Midsouth, Graf's, and Brownells. Monitoring these five regularly will likely ensure you're finding the best prices, especially during their sales. Looking at the three Ps (Projectiles, Powder, Primers) as a whole, PV tends to lead the pack with the lowest price on the largest number of items in most months.

Different powders follow distinct pricing trends when on sale. While I can only speculate about the reasons, the patterns are mathematically identifiable. Personally, I plan my purchases about 12 months in advance, basing decisions on historical pricing trends and dips. Though this approach isn’t precise—given the many unknown factors influencing sales trends and pricing—it has proven helpful in securing powder at some of the lowest prices of the year.

I have a close buddy who is a huge 2A advocate and is building out sarhb.com (Second Amendment Resource Hub) and we've recently been discussing incorporating my price monitoring system as a dedicated section of SARHB (as well as working on some other projects with the data) - so, that might be something we work on implementing for 2025. If we do roll that feature out, I'll be sure to let you know - maybe it will be helpful to you in your component search.

I've been trying to sell some 8 lb. kegs of IMR4064 and can't get much interest. Same with several hundred .308" and .338" MatchKings. All less than on-line prices, yet little interest. Weird.

Agree ... even if they use the same powders as we do. We don't use even a fraction of what they use.

Anyone see A2400 lately?

Pass the gravy.

Was limited availability every month during the first 6 months of 2024, then it became a ghost.

Powder Valley had some AL2400 in 8 lb. a week or so ago, it didn't last long.

On a whim, I picked up a 1 lb. of TCM a few days ago. Much to my happiness I've found it provides ballistics very similar to 2400, burning just a tad slower. So far I've tested it in .357, .41 Magnum, .44 Special and .44 Magnum. IF there's any interest I'll post some of my chronographing results here.

I've used Accurate 4100 with very good results, and it's available. Another thing---it meters really well.

I am wondering about Accurate 11FS, don't know a thing about it. Has anyone tried it?

I've used Accurate 4100/Ramshot Enforcer as well, but only in the .30 Carbine so far. TCM looks exactly like 4100/Enforcer and meters like water. I ordered a 5 lb. keg of TCM from Wholesale Hunter for $110, that's but $22 per pound!

Well Choot. I mighta sprung for 10 pounds of that and saved me some dough. I just bought 8 pounds more of 4100 from Natchez because I got curious and found that I'm down to about five pounds of it. Cost me a bit over $300.

What the hell. It's just money.

It's only money. Make some more next week.

I've got 16 pounds of H-Retumbo on the way right now.
