Looking at bracket. Texas has a fairly easy path to semifinals. 1 semi is in Dallas.
Georgia has very easy path.
Could it be Georgia v Texas in Atlanta again???? Yes this what I see

Ewers played pretty good so, I wouldn't say he lost the game, but then again he didn't win it either. That goes for the receivers that needed to make a play, and the kicker that didn't do his job either.
Special teams has really fallen of this year...
Ewers win never be the QB that can put the team on his back and will them to victory. Sam had that quality to him, and I think i see it in Manning. He has some moxie to him.

Would a 4 team playoff been better this year? Heard Josh Pate talking about it.
1. Oregon 2. Georgia 3. Texas 4. Penn State.
First out ND.

Not sure how you can make that determination of Manning, given how little he played. It would be interesting to see how he reacts after getting the crap knocked out of him a few times.

First out ND. I think GA and TX have the best defenses, so I'd give them the best chance to win it all. Pedophile State shouldn't even be allowed to play football.

Manning will have growing pains. Backup QB is always the most popular guy on the team.
Most Manning’s success was against ULM. UTSA and last place Miss State.

Think there is a decent path to the semis for SMU.

I have a friends son who plays for SMU, number 15, edge rusher/DE. I will pull for them.

First out ND. The best team is probably in there.... The schools are loving the home game though. We got our regular season tickets for the Clemson game and they were 370 a piece...... could you imagine what a 104000 seats brings in.

He is a leader that a team will follow. Ewers doesn’t bring that to the table.

UT should beat Clemson by at least 3 touchdowns IF Texas plays Arch instead of Ewers. Ewers is a one dimensional quarterback that is only able to produce against subpar defenses. He may look good against a poor Clemson defense. Idk but why gamble.
Think about it. Georgia is the only really good defense Texas has faced all year. In the two losses to Georgia what has Ewers done besides throw interceptions? What was his total production? Answer it was terrible.
Do you think Arch would have done worse? Texas lost both games. They lost the second game against a backup quarterback that was no threat to pass downfield. That is as bad as it gets. If you don’t think Arch is ready you don’t know college football offense in 2024. Arch is a true dual threat RPO quarterback and a proven winner. He would elevate the Texas offense to another level.
Good luck to Texas. I am SEC or bust.
Just my 2 cents. Big Hutch
Ewers didn’t drop those passes nor did he miss those 2 field goals. He’s gotten them to where they are today. Manning has to wait his time. Getting caught flat footed on the fake punt didn't help much either. JR

If Texas could get 27 points in every game, they could probably win the Natty.

One reason Ewers looks shaky is because Manning is his backup and I think Ewers feels the pressure. I think Sark is advising Ewers to turn pro, when in all reality Sark just wants Ewers gone. I bet Ewers transfers in the next portal and Manning becomes UT's QB by default, as I have said would happen all along. Ewers may be making more money now than he would as a pro. Manning will start next year no matter where Ewers is and I am not so sure that he shouldn't be starting now instead of later. Upside on Manning is way more than it is on Ewers. I am still surprised that Sark did not get Manning in the game against Georgia in some fashion. Once he gets him in there again, I don't think Sark will be able to remove him from the starting lineup because of Manning's success. Texas could have beaten Georgia, but Sark got greedy and tried to score in single plays rather than a series. Georgia won because of the series of plays that were called. Sark got greedy Saturday night and it cost him. If he had called the same plays with Manning UT would have won because Manning would have probably scrambled for a TD versus Ewers who tried to throw for the TD and had to settle for the field goal.

Would have given them the ball in GA territory with the score tied. JR

I think I’m ok with doing away with championship games. Not worth it, the interest doesn’t seem worth it. Crowds were small
Playoffs need to change too. Boise and Arizona State get byes? Last year they woulda been left out.
