Strangest 2yo I’ve ever seen.
What would be distinctive enough about a yearling spike to be able to recognize as a 2yo 5pt?

He was puffed up pretty good. He's always been a little aggressive, he puffs up at the sight of any other buck, no matter the size of the other buck. Funny thing is, the other bucks pay no attention to him, he's a puffer, never saw him fight or spar with other bucks.

Yelp, I’d be curious to see his teeth when he is dead, he looks post prime in some and young in others. Good feed program does that though.

Yeah, the fluffed appearance makes it all much more difficult when just seeing those pics in isolation.
I will say, he has some good hock staining for a 2.5yo. My 2.5yo bucks barely show any staining, certainly not that nice squared off look.
Good job fooling most of us. The headgear plays a much better role in aging than we all admit
