It’s about time to replace the tires on my SRW F350. Been running Toyo AT on more than one truck and have had good luck with them. Ran across some Cooper AT for $100 less per tire. Anyone ever run them? They are advertising them as a 60,000 mile tire. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/11/full-9738-437360-img_1207.png)

Not that exact tire but have a set of cooper AT’s on my 1/2 ton diesel with 88000 miles and counting.
Dad has same tires on his Cummins 3500 srw and loves them with about 40k on them and good life left.

Cooper used to be my preferred tire…until I bought a set of Zeons. They were awesome until they weren’t and Cooper basically said it was a truck thing, Ford house said it was a tire thing and in turn end guess who ate a pair of tires with 7k miles on them? I haven’t and won’t buy a Cooper tire since.
I have a set of Goodyears on my truck right now and I’m not impressed with those either…I wish I could help but the Falken’s seem to be getting great reviews, I’ve never owned a set.
Don't let your ears hear what your eyes didn't see, and don't let your mouth say what your heart doesn't feel As much as I hate to admit it, I do like my truck

I am mainly on road applications and have a need for a quiet tire due to being on the phone constantly. I am overly impressed with my Michelin Platnium Defenders. Quiet and a warranty of 70,000 miles. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/11/full-636-437408-img_5013.jpeg)

Get on Discount Tire and look at some reviews. Agree with Superduty on the Michelins but you're getting into high roller territory.

I think I'm going with Falkens for my F350 SRW when the time comes. Don't think I've seen a single bad review on them yet.

We’ve tried the Cooper’s on a few trucks and they’re a decent tire if you keep them rotated every 3k but if your the type that goes over they really like to cup out and start road walking. On a personal truck I’d stick to Toyo’s or Nitto Ridge Graplers,

Yea they’ll be trashed if you rotate them at that range, we took our last set of Coopers off a few weeks back due to cupping long before they were due to be replaced.

I’ve been real surprised with my OEM Goodyear wrangler MT’s ( not a mud terrain )
Just rolled 41k on them and bet I can get another 10k out of them. Better performance than I’ve gotten out of my last several sets of tires. Most were trashed by 40k
Gonna go Toyo R/T trail after this set

Anyone ever run them? They are advertising them as a 60,000 mile tire. Wife and I both needed new tires and she said she is ordering new vehicle next year and I still haven’t decided on mine. Needless to say I decide to go Falken AT4 on both to save some money over Toyo. Why too soon to tell but I’ve been impressed on wet roads and dirt. My LT 35x12.5x18 is F rated and was told they have better side wall then Toyo AT3, I will say they seem to flex better a soak up bumps better. Non LT(light truck) is 65k warranty and LT is 60k Wish I had a longer term report, I’m a Toyo fan but Falken doing well so far

I generally think any name brand will do fine.
I e rotated my coolers maybe 3-4 times in almost 90,000 miles with no I’ll effects described above.

Gonna go Toyo R/T trail after this set I’ve got the r/t trails right now, they have done well. I’m at around 38-40k with them and still have life left. I usually get less than that per set

I had a set of Cooper Rugged Trek on my Dodge 2500 4wd. They were ok for about 20k miles. After that they wouldn't stay balanced and losing air. Took them back to Discount tire where the came from and was told he couldn't do anything because of the age but not the miles. Stopped at another Discount tire and was able to trade them in. Drove out 600 dollars cheaper the store here in town wanted. I went with the Michelin Defender. Smooth and no noise. I called headquarters at discount tire, not long after that the manager called me. I reckon he got a butt chewin. They advertise if you're ever not happy just bring them back. Maybe he understands that now! To be fair I like the tread on some of the Cooper tires.275-70-18 is my size Load Range E, 10 ply

I lost count on the number of sets of Coopers that I am on between my last few trucks and work trucks, but it has to be at least 8 sets between ST Maxx and AT3. Ive never had a issue that wasn't caused by me running something over offroad. I prefer the ST Max because it is is a little more aggressive, but the AT3 does great on the highway and good enough off road. I just put another set of AT3 on my work truck because they are discontinuing the size I run, but the Stronghold will be what I go with next year.
My local small town tire shop is a Cooper dealer and somehow he has the best prices around the state, even better than Discount.
On my work truck, the spare has a matching wheel, so I run a 5 tire rotation and get about 20% more miles before having to buy another set.

Might have to give them another try one of these days. I really like the tread design on the AT3. Looks like it would give decent traction off road but not make a lot of noise on the road.

One of the sidewalls split and started leaking. Tires were old as I don’t drive it daily anymore. I am having the coopers from your first post put on as I type. 265-70-17 E for $165 a tire.

Crawled under my truck and found that GM gave me a full size spare WITH matching wheel so I ordered 3 Goodyear wrangler M/T’s for $800.
Pretty smoking deal if you ask me

I'll second cooper's cupping issues. I have a set of cooper rugged treks on my truck. The cup terribly and have become very loud. Gonna go back to Nitto Ridge Grapplers next. They were a better tire.

Toyo R/T fan. on 2nd set on lifted F150 and got more than expect life out of 1st set. Also put exact same set 35s on my Jeep. They are not as quite ast the AT but much quieter than the MT.

On my second set of Toyo Open Country A/T III on my Ranger. I've had Coopers and BFGs in the past and to me the Toyos are the best all around tire I've had. BFGs were way too loud.

Get on Discount Tire and look at some reviews. Agree with Superduty on the Michelins but you're getting into high roller territory. They make the best street tires but nothing aggressive enough for me.

Just put 3 Michlins on her car. Need a loan or sell some guns. But she has to drive to Fl to get her sis & move her back to DFW. Hubby passed in Jan last year and she just got the house sold.

Anyone ran the Nitto Ridge Gapplers? Just bought a truck with them. They were terrible for me on my 3/4 ton and Judd hated them on his F150. That being said, they excelled in sugar sand.

When it rained mine were like it was ice. It’s weird because it’s like I had the only set that behaved that way…the Jeep guys love them.

Have an appointment at Discount Tire this afternoon to reshape the F350 and Expedition. Going back with Toyo AT3 on the SD. Hard to beat, the Falken AT4 are only AT tire I been as pleased with as the Toyo AT3,

When it rained mine were like it was ice. It’s weird because it’s like I had the only set that behaved that way…the Jeep guys love them. This was my experience with Toyos. They were flat out dangerous on a wet road. Discount took them back and told me I wasn’t the first to bring them back.

Hard to beat, the Falken AT4 are only AT tire I been as pleased with as the Toyo AT3, I put the Falken AT4W on my F150 and finally got some snow use, pretty happy with them. They did great on the highway and fine through the drifty snow on the ranch driveway. They got some rain driving in Texas and I was happy then too, had a little frog strangler while down there and I had to get out in it. They are stiff but I like the thicker sidewalls. Winter highway driving up here. Caught the plows throw in our lane going up. Kept us at a good highway speed without any slipping, not in 4x4 either. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-61217-444638-20250119_142024_copy.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2025/02/full-61217-444639-20250119_143110_copy.jpg)

Out of necessity i just pulled the factory 275/20's off a new F350 SRW and replaced them with 295/20 Toyo M/Ts. They sing a little going down some highways but definitely make a huge difference off road. Just hope they last a long time.
