Debating a can am side by side or maybe another brand(no polaris)....

Is there a go to dealership in term of best pricing?
Do they all tack the assembly fee on? Looked at one today and after they quoted sale price...oh yeah there's a additional assembly fee of 2k...

I bought our CanAms before they started that crap. I'd buy used now, before I let them screw me like that. Even the verbiage is insulting to your intelligence. Let 'em choke on it.

I have owned a number of side by sides - I am now on my second Kubota 1100 - built to last, the cab is the best one made IMO - AC is excellent, heater, dust proof, etc. Not fast (25 mph tops) but if used around a property or a deer lease they are hard to beat IMO

Antlers. I’ve bought from them and saved thousands and my mom just bought a Ranger from them on Saturday and saved $4000.

Thanks for that reference. How does paying tax work when buying out of state?

Unless your ag exempt, they charge taxes based on your state of residency

Thanks BP, as antlers is in the works of getting me some numbers. Very nice folks.

I'll also be making a trailer purchase to carry the can am. My space for storage is limited, so I need a trailer big enough to haul it but small as possible... if that makes sense..lol

Is a 14' x 77" big enough? Any suggestions on size or place to buy? Definitely want a ramp gate.

I'll check with antlers on a trailer.

Is something like this too short?

This is what I'm looking at:

You will love it! Make sure to get the fender flares, otherwise it will cover you in mud.

You’ll need the 14 foot long trailer, that will leave you half a foot clearance. Minimum of 72 inches wide inside

There is a Can Am dealer in Marion Ark. My neighbor just went and bought two 4 wheelers from them. They beat EVERYONE in Tx and all surrounding states. Antlers' was the 2nd best price he got. Further drive but it was worth it to him

Anyone running a Mule Pro FXT 1000 LE?

It seems to be shorter than a can am and might work for my needs a little better with limited storage space. With a overall length of 135", I assume it would fit on a 12' trailer?

Salesman did tell me there's a recall and waiting on parts before they can be sold.

Any other places in Oklahoma or elsewhere like Antlers, but deal Honda or Yamaha? Friend looking for a new Yamaha or Honda without all the markup, assembly fee, etc..

I like hoffpauir in goldthwaite.

I have both a mule and a can am.

The mule will fit on a 12’ trailer with some room to spare. Get the 800, the 1000 is having major issues

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

You'll want a 14' trailer. It'll fit on a 12' trailer without a tailgate on the trailer. The bed of the canam would hang off the back of the 12 footer but the tires would still be on the deck.

Here’s a 12 foot trailer with a short tailgate on it. Notice the bed of the buggy sets over the top of the tailgate. Any bigger of a tire and it wouldn’t fit.

Where's the best place to buy a Honda ATV without all the freight, assembly, destination, etc.. fees?

I wonder if there is such a place without the extra fees. I recently bought a Yamaha 4 wheeler, and it was like buying a car. I spent most of an afternoon haggling over those extra fees. Finally, in frustration, I just said I’d pay “this number” and told him what number and they finally agreed to it. I came away feeling the price was Ok, but should not have had to work that hard.

Right or wrong, I think maybe buying from a rural dealer might be the best way to go. Big city dealerships typically sell to folks with more money and don’t mind spending it. Rural folk tend to be more frugal.

I hear you. I was hoping to find a place in TX that would sell like some of those in Oklahoma. I tried to buy a yamaha last week from a dealer in North TX. Their listed sell price was $5899. In the end, the OTD price was going to be $8299...
I said no thanks and the salesperson got a little testy once I told him I wasn't into all the added fees.

Antlers Powersports and Jones Motorsports. Both in OK. We just got a Can Am defender a few months ago. Was it worth the 8 hour round trip drive? That 8 hour round trip drive saved us $4500.

Sounds like quite a decent deal for the trip!
