Both the girls ate a piece of raw heart from their bucks. Then ate it sauteed. not me, yuck.
Well, I was going to shoot a buck and her a doe but changed my mind and told her she was up first. I admit when this buck walked out, I almost shoved her off her chair and opened fire but, she's had a very tough few years fighting alcoholism. She's 10 months sober. This was a very hard test for her as there were a TON of triggers. There was beer and wine in the refrigerator that the last guests left behind. After my friend's daughter shot hers, they celebrated with a cold Modelo and a little Jack D.
Holidays, hunting trips and celebrations are very hard for her. I asked her if she wanted me to take the stuff out of the fridge, she said no and not to talk about it to anyone as she must learn to fight through these temptations. Makes me sad to think about it but it is what it is.
I'll try and get to my buddy's lease in a week or so, see if I can use one of MY tags up.

You flipped a coin to see who would shoot first? That was my first thought and I figure most would agree, but maybe hes trying to teach her that "everyone doesnt get a trophy." Im not sure how old she is, but doesnt appear to be a child. Wow moment - Buzz teaching life lessons! Never too late to start.....
