I don’t eat that chit. However when I was a kid my grandfather ate a sack of zebra cakes every morning with his coffee before heading to the gas plant. I thought they were really called Papaw cupcakes. He was skinny as a rail and rode a bike in the summer to stay in shape for quail season.

I agree. I am no health or fitness nut but I do avoid heavily processed garbage like that. Sweets in general never really appealed to me. I would much rather eat a heaping pile of bacon than anything sugary. I don’t even like cokes or other sweet drinks.

Always chuckle at the variety of responses. “I don’t eat that chit, poison, rot your teeth out…”. Dadgum, you would think the topic was low fence/high fence or Ford vs. Chevy. As a kid, oatmeal cream pies were the bomb, today I love it when Momma gets the kids cosmic brownies so I can snag 1 or 2.

In my house, a box of little debbies rarely lasts through the night. You better get it while you can!

Look at the obesity problem in America. Ultra processed foods and too much food are major factors in why we have the obesity problem. I see so many men that I've known my whole life. Now in their 40's with huge guts.

Everything in moderation my friend. Over consumption and lack of exercise is the real culprit. Not poor old Little Debbie. We are all going to die. Nobody gets out alive.

Little debbie is to blame for obesity like guns are to blame for crime. People don’t get fat because we have cheap delicious snacks. They get fat because they choose to eat too much, and choose to be less active.

We probably have more gyms in America than any place else, too. You have a choice.

There was a time that I could sit and eat an entire box of the oatmeal cream pies. Now days I won't eat one.
We have a guy that likes to visit my brothers ranch, he always brings a few boxes of Little Debbie stuff. I stay away from it

It's been a long time since I've had a little debbie. I always liked the brownies and the star crunch I think it was. They have to be the most artificial tasting snacks you can buy but some still taste good. My biggest temptation when trying to stay healthier is desserts and sweets but thankfully little debbies aren't remotely tempting. It's the bakery section of the grocery store that I have to avoid lol

My favorites used to be the Star Crunches, Nutty Buddies, Swiss Rolls and the Oatmeal Cream Pies. I haven't had a Star Crunch in years, but the past 10 years or so, the Oatmeal Cream Pies and Nutty Buddies are all pretty tasteless and not the same. Swiss Rolls are still really good and about the only thing we buy.

Thanks,
Rich
