We go with bigger breakfast after the morning hunt. too much to eat or drink prior to the morning hunt tends to shorten the morning hunt. need to go sit somewhere else.

Dined in the blind this morning. That made my stomach turn.

On return. We have a five star chef. Typically Bacon, Eggs, French toast and my personal favorite biscuits and gravy. Breakfast is so good that my daughter learned a tragic lesson last year, when dad says let’s go just saw a big deer and I think we can rattle him in, you don’t say “no, I’m good, I’m going to get another plate”…… 15 min later I pulled back in to camp with her trophy tag in the back of the mule

back in the late 70's and early 80's daddy and I hunted a ranch around Comstock, we hunted from a jeep and daddy always had a bag of powder donuts and a thermos of coffee, when we would see a buck I always got a kick watching daddy deciding whether the donut and coffee were more important than the buck

I had powdered donuts in a blind once, the deer downwind of the blind smelled them.

When my dad was still alive and we were hunting the last few years before he passed we would make some Grand's biscuits with butter and jelly before going out. Now on my current lease with my brother we usually eat a cookie or two before the hunt and cook a mean breakfast on the Cowboy Discada afterwards.
