It has been forever, but your talking about the Phillips 66 on the SE corner of Depot St. & Hwy 380 a long time ago they did have all around good food, foreigners bought it and it went down hill.
But again, that was around 15 years since I have been there.

Spot on Stub.

FYI, most Bryson stores are foreign now. Cottons Restaurant is the outlier, still owned by a long time local.

I recommend stopping in Jacksboro, Herds still has a good burger and so does the Kwik Stop. Both still owned and operated by locals.

The burger looks good but the onion rings in the background look like a frozen product. Might have to try that burger one day.

Tried Dayne's in Aledo out on Friday. Very good burger, mac and cheese, and kolaches. Good way to carb load for the trail run I had the next day

Is Edmonds Halal? I see on their menu it's beef bacon. I don't mind Halal, just tastes a little different to me than normal beef. Looks VERY similar to Olive Burger on Custer which is Halal.

Halal is meat that adheres to Islamic Law. I confirmed online Edmonds is Halal, which explains the beef bacon. I'll check it out, because it does look good.

Watching The Texas Bucket List show this am and they were showing Hamburgers made at Tex Millers in Cameron, TX. Kind of looked a little like a Herd Burger.
Has anyone eaten there? There chili hotdog looked interesting too.

Meers right near the entrance of Wichita Mountain National Wildlife Refuge. Haven't been there in probably eight years or so, but grew up eating at that place just about every year and it was awesome.

Those Meers burgers were good back in my artillery days. Old sheep dog used to lie on the front porch of the store.
