I got this one and it's well worth the $50. Actually does both as you can clip it on a hat or in your pocket. It's super light and pretty bright.

I've also got this one. It's super heavy but is like having a spotlight on your head. It's great for tracking at night.

Our headlamps tend to grow legs and walk off. At $20 for a 2 pack, these do an exceptional job and I don't get pissed when I have to buy another 2 packs every year.

I have several of the Fenix products. Their products aren't the cheapest but the quality is there.

Been using a cheap craftsman from Lowes for 3 yrs. Internal battery with attached USB cord. Still works fine.

Me as well. Last one you'll ever need. Great features, rechargeable and the brightest setting is a day maker.

best I've seen. Built like a brick outhouse and very substantial battery life. Simple controls. Highly recommend it, Stompy...

I’m running this flashlight and I highly recommend it, I’m not sure of pricing but it’s worth the list

Headlamps I use Costco Duracell and Blackdiamond

Ive got the same problem... I bet Ive bought a dozen headlamps in the last 5-6 years... so I refuse to buy expensive ones..

Wal-Mart sells a lamp that has 3 white light settings plus 2 red light settings with a pretty decent elastic band for about $15.. the light housing and the elastic band are both OD green.... I bought a couple of those this year to replace the ones from last year that I cant seem to find anywhere..

If have a fenix charging on my desk right now. My only complaint is it’s take special charging cord

This is my favorite and it uses usb -c same as new iPhones

Peak light

As far as just cheap let kids use type, the coast 365 is great for $19.99

Peak is my favorite so far. Can catch them on sale for $70-75

BOBO, get you one of those batteries that you can plug a USB into to charge. I love the light but agree the charging system is gimmicky.

I’ve been using the Felix for my 5:30am rucks. It’s my house light now, I keep it on my bed side table.

I didn’t even think about the new 18650 w/ built in c charge batteries. Brilliant

Putting one of the Streamlight Stingers with a smart charger mount in my truck was one of the best things I ever did. I did not realize just how handy having that light would be, always in that mount fully charged ready to use. Any other flashlight I have ever had when I needed it most was usually lost or needed batteries or needed to be charged. I will never again own a truck that does not have a flashlight mounted on a smart charger somewhere on it. I also worked a career over several years with other Streamlight brand lights on chargers mounted in our fire trucks. Never had a problem with any of them.

There’s a reason why the majority of law enforcement officers rely on Streamlight lights.

ntxtrap wasnt it you that recommended OLight. I think Redranger got one. I bought two for over $200 total and after the first charge they wont charge beyond the tiniest little brightness. Probably user error but I havent followed up at all. First light Ive ever paid any decent money for and it doesnt work at all.

You are doing something wrong. If you put the batteries in backwards, it will smoke it, and they go in backwards compared to traditional lights. It's in the instructions. Mine works like a champ.
