I saw a pronghorn up above 8000' on a mountain in Arizona.....have no idea how she got there.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I was bear hunting about 6 miles in a wilderness area hiking on a pretty popular area. Walked pretty much right into a young lady who was completely naked on the trail while her guy was fishing on the rio a few hundred yards away. It was weird.

Hiking in mountains with a girlfriend who was from Boston. We are sitting on a rock taking a break. She asked why I carried a gun. Me, "Snakes, coyotes, rabid things, weirdos" Her, "There are no weirdos out here." A minute later we see someone coming, just a hat above the bushes. He comes into the clearing and that hat and boots are all he is wearing. "Bouncing Appendage." His dog was better dressed with a bandana. A minute later she says. "Keep bringing the gun."

I dont know about the weirdest but this year I had a Red Tail Hawk drop a half eaten Dove dang near in my lap when I was on my 4 wheeler. Another crazy one happend in 1997 in Anderson County. I was riding my 3 wheeler to my stand when a large Fox Squirrel fell out of a tree and hit my handlebars and ended up in my lap. He was still alive but never recovered and was dead in the same spot I left him the next day.

I watched a whitetail doe get run to her death by some bucks. She dropped dead right under the last buck that was trying to get lucky. He kept nudging her with his antlers and even walked behind her as if he was considering how to mount her on the ground.

Red tailed hawk dropped a rattlesnake in the road in front of me about 25 yards. Very bright northern lights in around 2000-2001, in Stephens county. I'm sure I have more.

It was back in the late '70's or early 80's. My buddy and I were hunting my aunts farm. When we met after our morning hunt, he told me was attack by an owl three or four times in the pitch dark. Never heard wings, just kept thumping him in the chest. When the sun came up the owl was in a tree staring at him. I told him I saw the strangest thing. I thought I saw a buck with an arrow sticking out of his head coming from his direction. It was a few hundred yards away and was gone before I could get my binoculars on him. He then told me after the sun came up few deer came in. There was a nice buck and a smaller buck in the group. He drew his arrow back and let it go. The big buck ducked the arrow. The arrow hit the smaller buck in the head and they all took off. Ouch that was a huge Excedrin headache. That afternoon I saw the buck and arrow was still in the head, but was bent around the back of head. We saw that buck on and off over the next week or so.
What really made the story. A few days later we were having breakfast at a little diner. There was a group of hunters. One of them was telling the story about the small buck with arrow in his head. We never said a word.
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!

We did not have blinds or feeders when we were hunting gas line roads near Laredo, about 30 years ago I was wearing camo and tucked into some brush for cover when I had two cara caras land in the road next to me. They paced back and forth within a foot or two from me for several minutes. It was like they were trying to determine if I was edible or not. They are some aggressive birds and can find a downed deer as fast as blood dog. I had my pistol in hand a was ready to defend myself if they decided it was time to eat.

I was catfishing on Granger about a decade back. Dead calm evening, right before dark. I heard this buzzing; almost electrical buzzing noise and it was getting closer. A very large swarm of bees, about the size of a pickup truck went right over my head. Fast and on a mission. they passed within about ten feet of me.

I went to check my cows the other day and from 600 yards off, I saw a group of black-headed vultures on a newly deceased cow. They were around as well as standing on the carcass. '$&*#@&' were my initial thoughts. I drove over to see which cow it was and the buzzards hopped off and started walking away. Turns out it wasn't a cow at all; it was two healthy 600# heifers just lying together. Both stood up, nothing wrong with either one. I have no idea what the vultures were doing nor why the heifers were letting them do it. I nearly hit a couple with the truck as they didn't want to fly off for some reason. Wish I'd had a shotgun with me.

I was sitting on a tripod deer hunting in McMullen County about 20 years ago when out stepped a freak-looking, slate gray, yellow-eyed, four-legged creature slinking in my direction. My immediate thought was WTH is that!!
It honestly took me a few moments to realize that it was actually just a coyote with the worst case of mange I could ever imagine. It had a bulbous tumor about the size of a tennis ball growing at the base of its tail, and just scant hair remaining anywhere on its body. I promptly put it out of its misery (Not wanting to even touch it afterwards, I put on a pair of vinyl gloves just so I could drag the pathetic thing out of the sendero).
Fast forward another five years and I was channel surfing on TV when I ran across a "documentary" on chupacabras! Darned if they didn't have some video and game camera footage of an almost identical looking animal as "proof."
I wish I'd taken pictures. Maybe could have sold them to the tabloids!

Had to be around 40 years ago, a buddy and I went bank fishing along the shore lines of Hickory Creek Park on lake Lewisville. We walk around this one point and low and behold there were two guys and a pretty good looking healthy gal butt azz naked around 30-40 feet out, in about 2 1/2' of water water doing the hokey pokey We watched them for about a minute, they knew we were there and it was obvious they could have cared less. Well my buddy Al says lets go in and join them, me nope we did not get an invite but you go ahead, he decide not to also.

About 15 years ago, I was with a friend who was a wildlife photographer and we were deep in a remote area of the Sam Houston National Forest. We heard something moving off to the right, then a low grumbling which sounded like it was coming out of a laid down tree. Looking towards that tree, we saw something moving behind it and was covered with moss. The grumbling resumed, when the "something" rose up from behind the stump. I heard the camera go off and my friend said we better leave. He got this picture of that "something"!

Not "in the woods" but I was driving down I10 out near Junction and saw what I thought was smoke drifting across the road, also about the size of a truck. When I hit it I realized that it was a swarm of bees. It sounded like a thousand little firecracker popping as I went through it, my truck was thoroughly slimed, I bet I killed thousands of them.

Yep, I can relate! many years ago, was out in my garden in the hill country, heard this strange buzzing sounds, and yes a big swarm of bees just passed over me when i was there. I that moment i thought how small we are in the big world we live in! A new queen doing roll call heading to theyre new home! If my dad was still alive, he would have gottena bucket and starting beating on it making noise to attract the bees. Years ago they would rescue hives and try to collect a new colony to keep around the farm. Never saw it, heard its possible to catch them.
Those other posts about naked woman such, command pics, yet again, world is full of nuts! long as they stay the hell away from me!

last deer season I was sitting in my normal box stand overlooking several acres with 2 feeders (one left, one straight out, ~200 yards apart). I had several does & fawns at the left feeder, when I start hearing a doe snorting like crazy back in the brush between the two feeders, she was pitching a fit, all the other deer at the left feeder stood at attention but never moved. I was wondering if she caught my scent or saw my RTV tucked back in the brush behind the stand. All of a sudden out comes a half grown bobcat hauling with a big doe hot on it's heals blowing up & pawing the ground as she moved. Only took a few seconds for it to pass thru the clearing ... the doe stopped before hitting the brush on the other side but continued snorting/whistling for probably another 30 seconds before going back to feeding. A few seconds later her twin fawns came out to join her for at least a half hour milling around down to the other feeder. It was fun to watch and I wish I had been a bit quicker on getting my gun on the cat.

I was netting crabs, seashells and whatever on the beach with my young daughter when something rolled in the wave in front of me and I scooped up a human knee that had been cut clean just below and above the knee. Called the sheriff and they handled it from there.
Also watches a squirrel drag a 5 foot water snake out of a hole in a tree right above my boat while I was fishing on the Sabine. He had it behind the head and dragged it out on a limb over the river and shook it and dropped it back in the water.

Hunting hogs in the Sam Houston about 10 years or so ago I hear this "WHOOOOP!!!". Not aggressive sounding but just a nice long "WHOOOP!!"
My first thoughts are bigfoot hunters way back here 2 miles from any road. But nothing after that. Not another sound after that. The forest went quiet for awhile. Visibility is poor around me so I saw nothing and I could not hear anyone either. I didnt think too much about it until I started listening to some bigfoot calls on the internet a few days later. Very similar for sure.
Not sure what it was. However I have found a strange structure not too far away from that area. I have found another crazy tree structure in a different part of the Sam also. I wish I still had the pics. I may have posted them in years past when responding to similar threads.
Definitely strange!!!
GO TRUMP!

March 14, 2014 was our last trip to the Sam. Lots of activity near Kelly's Pond, and a charge by a 8ft tall hairy creature that was not happy we were there. We stop going to the Sam, simply because it has become too crowded with hunters, campers, and researchers. The number of people going in there has dramatically increase, but the foremost researcher in the Sam has agreed. He does brief trips to certain areas just to check on certain areas.

How about a frog half the size of my number 12 boot hiding in a sage bush 1/4 mile from the nearest stock tank on November 3rd in Twitty, Texas?

last deer season I was sitting in my normal box stand overlooking several acres with 2 feeders (one left, one straight out, ~200 yards apart). I had doe with a fawn do almost the same thing one day when a domesticated cat (one of the ranch cats gone astray) walked out of the woods. That doe was right behind that cat stomping. The cat didn't seem to concerned with the seriousness of the situation, I thought I was going to have a front row seat to a kitty stomp.
