I looked him up. He’s not in the top 500 in receiving yards. Don’t seem like he part of the plan. Texas appears to utilize TE most. Wingo is making a play for WR1.

He was a 5 star if I remember correctly. They brought in Golden, Bolden, and Bond from the portal, and added Wingo from HS ranks. I'm guessing his year will be next year, along with Moore.

Or he could be a portal loss. Not the end of the world since they are bringing in a couple 5 stars in this year's class.

There are at least 5 or 6 SEC teams that would trounce all of the teams ranked ahead of them except for Oregon and maybe Miami. Think about the speed and athleticism of the SEC. Watch any SEC game and flip the channel to watch any of the other conferences. The difference is incredible. Its like watching a NFL game and then watching a high school game.

Well, any NFL game except a Cowboys game or a Saints game …

Guessing he said this after his playing time had dried up. His comments definitely indicate a bad apple that needs to move on.

As Sark has said many times - we don't just go by talent. Even more talented players need to fit in.

That said, it's hard for 5 stars to sit. The 3 and 4 stars know they will have to wait and often are better players for it.

I do know Johntay was close to committing to Michigan. Portnoy has vowed to buy Michigan a QB, most likely Bryce Underwood. He could simply have a better financial offer awaiting.
