I dislike them just like I dislike alot of other cars that some people love. They are ugly and boring IMO but I don't care what anyone else drives. Same for the bronco on 26"+ wheels and rubber band tires I saw today that had to slow down to under 5mph on the road due to a puddle, I think it's ugly but I don't care what they drive.

My big issue with EVs are the people that think they are doing the world a favor by driving one and you are terrible for not wanting to, the mandates they are pushing to make people own them, and the negatives about the materials that go into them that alot of people like to conveniently ignore.

SpaceX is so far ahead of anyone else, the government just needs to get the hell out of their way. And even though I have mad respect for NASA as space pioneers, they are just being totally left behind by SpaceX.

That was impressive, thanks for sharing…I didn’t know SpaceX was doing this today.

It is one of the best examples of private industry versus government operated.

NASA would use the U.S. Navy to go capture parts and capsules from the ocean.

Space-X said it's cheaper just to land it back in the yard.

Boeing has too many fingers in the pot. Spacex had made great strides in rocketry and the new space suits are neat. But remember - NASA would have to spend a lot of cash to get where Musk is. Basically start at ground zero on new designs. NASA has too many commitments, space station, rockets, experiments, etc.

NASA could throw all the money they want at such a project. They cannot hire the good engineers and associated people because of today's hiring mandates.

No one is going to restore a Camry either.....

FWIW I also have a (still project) 54 Chevy, a restored 64 and 66 Impala, 87 Mazda B2200, and a 69 VW.

A B2200? A restored one will be a true unicorn.

The average new Camry isn't 75K either.

I am starting to think that Elon just keeps making up crazy things to attempt just to challenge himself.

That was the plan, it has been sitting for a while now. I bet I could go out and it would fire right up, thing won't die. I used it to move trailers around one day and left it idling while I ran into the shop. Forgot it for nearly 24 hours, went out and there it was still running.....

He's more visionary. He has also been a life-long space enthusiast. SpaceX almost didn't make it with the Falcon 9 and had a lot of failures which they learned from. The former nazi Vernher von Braun and the father of our national space program also blew up a lot of German V2 rockets in testing and with the early USA rockets.

My first new truck was a 1989 B2600i SE V6 4x4 extended cab, loved that truck.
