High lung and small cutting diameter is the worst to track. High lung, heart, liver.. in that order

As far as long track heart. Liver actually lays up quick you just can’t bump or it’s done.

I have read alot and heard alot about shot placement. My mentor is a 62 year old man from Arkansas that killed his first before adolescence with a stick bow. He told me to aim for the lungs, you want to cut a hole in both lungs. It’s the biggest target, hit both lungs and he will die. If you only hit one he won’t go far, if you miss you probably still hit something vital anyways. So I imagine where is the lower third of the lungs and aim for the center of that, imagine a soft ball resting there.

In my very limited experience shooting two deer with the compound and pretty much missing both times, neither of those deer made it more than 5 yards. I might be lucky or probably blessed, i will probably try to get a little closer and be a little more patient. But I am gonna keep aiming for that softball size target in the bottom and center of the lungs.
