Years back teskys in weatherford used to sell 50/50 blend of peanuts an corn. Wildlife loved it an had bucks no one else had come to feeder. Now I'm looking for a feed store or farmer to buy this stuff.
Anyone know of place to buy some. I'll buy peanut concentrate, raw or smoked.

I haven't heard of any of the feed stores I normally use having anything of the sort. If I remember, I will ask my next trip in.
I do remember a friend of my dad had a place between Llano & Brady that he put in a field of peanuts one year but the deer wiped out his field in a matter of days when it came up.

You might get a bag of soybeans and mix it 50/50 with corn.

'Wonder what powdered peanut butter would do inside a feeder with corn, clog it up? I've learned trapping pigs to only use it on my rooter-door box traps 'cause the deer go nuts for it in anything else and trigger the trap before the pigs ever come mozying around.

I hand spread corn. Got at Costco a bag of the peanut powder. Going to sprinkle some on top. I’m trying to attract deer not feed them. It has a much stronger odor than real peanuts.

Go buy some double down.
It’s peanut based Will it work in a spincast feeder? https://doubledowndeerfeed.com/pages/original-custom-blendDOUBLE DOWN® Original Blend Double Down® Deer Feeds Original Custom Blend was originally formulated for the Holden Pasture Deer Lease, with zero intentions to take it to the market. We simply wanted more out of our feed. Double Down® Original Custom Blend was formulated with the highest quality ingredients, ZERO least cost rations, and ZERO grain by-products. It has almost 1000 lbs. of raw shelled peanuts, cottonseed meal and mineral pack per ton. In addition, it has quality yeast culture to help aid in digestion and a healthy rumen. And also contains one of the highest pelletized TDN (Total Digestible Nutrients) levels on the deer feed market today! Double Down® Deer Feed was developed with proven attractants to draw deer in and boost overall consumption. With that … Not only are your deer likely to eat more, but they will get more out of what they eat.

Wednesday I mixed in with the corn a bag in a bag of Antler Max, today I mixed in a bag of Double Down. Since my feeder is pretty much sealed with no food exposed to the elements, hoping it will not swell up and clog from the inside.

It sure enough looks good. How was it on your pocketbook? Little over $17 a bag. If it draws them in it is worth every Penney Yep the 2 string bale of Alfalfa is also $17.

I hope it works for you ... even though your feeder doesn't have any exposed feed, humidity would be my concern on causing the protein to swell ... I also question whether there would be much waste with it spun out onto the ground??? I am not being negative, just never tried it and those would be my concerns if I gave it a try

Concerned about humidity inside the feeder swelling the protein up, looking into putting something inside of it that removes humidity. Also have a feeling a lot of it will go to waste on the ground since the protein pellets are so small probably hard for the deer to pick up, then there is the pellets laying on the ground with moisture or rain falling on it, does it swell and go bad or just swell and become no longer desirable for the deer to eat. Even though I thought about some of these factors, hoping that the deer will want it bad enough to take what they can get. Need to get a stand alone Protein feeder with a timer that will go off at the same time as my corn feeder.

It shouldn’t clog on inside, its the funnel to spin plate area that gets exposed to air Not sure they will eat it off ground also, those pellets tend to swell and break down quick as soon as they touch dew etc. Might try feeding for 2 seconds @ midnight see if you can high light your feeder more.

About the only way I feed pellets is in a trough. Like BOBO says, moisture is not your friend. I don't even feed my Ibex their usual pellets when there is any type of moisture. The pellets swell up and they won't touch it.

The pellets swell up and they won't touch it. If most of those protein pellets are not eaten off the ground, It may create a mess when/if the ground in the pen gets covered with swollen up pellets that deter the deer instead of attracting them, hope not, will find out soon enough.

I now use a blend of roasted soybeans and corn in my spin cast feeder. Deer love and not nearly as hard on the wallet.
