My repaired finger has, I suppose , healed as much as it’s gonna heal. It’ll bend at the middle joint, but not past about 90 degrees, and the end joint won’t bend at all due to a metal pin in it. I drop stuff sometimes because of that. I suppose your body expects a body part to do what it commands, even if it can’t. All said, I’m Ok.

Curious, have you regained feeling? My left hand FU finger still has not gained real feeling, and it is a PIA when working on stuff (Like small nuts and bolts) cause I can't feel it. Your damage was MUCH worse than mine. I imagine that is an issue for you too.

I have regained most feeling in the end of the poor old mistreated finger. At first it was real sensitive, but over time, the sensitivity ‘calmed down’. Right now, the feeling in the fingertip part is almost normal, but the upper part (where the router bit ‘routed’ me). near the tip feels sort of strange, sort of like partial numbness. None of that bothers me, but I wish it was more flexible. I’m having to depend more on my left ‘traffic signal finger’ when dealing with small nuts and bolts. Like I said, often I think I have a grip on something with that finger when I actually don’t. Oh, well..

That was my thought exactly! He said they were highly polished and smooth. His assistant laid my hand down flat and held it. Turn it 90, and pulled right out. Asked if I wanted it and put in a test tube. About like a shiny 6 penny finishing nail!!
