Stub, that deer has a lot of grey coloring like U and I, he's middle to late middle age, 5-6 all day....

What are you smoking loco

The only thing that you are correct one is a sagging brisket. There is very little belly, hardly any back sway, hips are not big like an older deer.
But where on Gods green earth do you come up with this observation (Nose dropping-jaw dropping-skinny shoulders-pot belly-front shoulders look shorter than the hips- dropping back-eyes semi squinching) loser8

Go get a pair, thank me later bolt

I might have aged a few LF deer over my years - learned we can all be fooled at times - IMO he is 5 - on our place he would get a pass to see what he could turn into next season - if it turns out he is 6 now and you kill him at age 7 then nothing lost - whatever you decide he is a nice buck

You can't fix stupid

I would leave him there's no damage he can do this year,i would start trapping Coons and Hogs they are doing more damage than you can fix. you are feeding way to many critters,

you have to remember that deer is in Lavaca County, not La Salle. Its been my experience that bucks are a year older ( sometimes two ) than they would show being in South Texas.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I started to ask if the deer around there were small, normal or large bodies and what the nutrition was like this spring and summer.
So if they are smaller bodied deer and range conditions were not very good, I could see that deer being 6.5.

The rotten bastage in me likes to jack with people every now and then grin

That buck will be taken by some hunter this year if he were in my part of the country with neighbor hunters as we had 30 hunters surrounding our fence lines. I would take this buck anytime..however the older I get I enjoy watching deer more than filling my tags. I find a lot of my friends that hunt are the same way as we age. Just getting old I guess.
