But called BJ, who I was referred to. He asked what color you wanted I told him. He said he ordered it and come pick it up the next day.
Be ready. He moves cars and has zero time for tire kickers.
Did you haggle with him on price?

Minimal benefits for an extra 4k. I was gonna go with the I force max here in san antonio, just so I didn't have to flight to dallas and bring it back.

I second Freeman, I bought two toyotas from sales Person Les, he retired since but they made the process no nonsense, didn't have to play games and didnt have to deal with sales schmucks.
Also, to add, Lewisville toyota is where I bought my current used ram 2500 a few years ago, they were total d-bags. Lied about everything from interest rate to how many keys they had for the truck.
I ended up walking out of the sales office after they had taken the licenses plates off of my trade in, they had taken so long i had went ahead and transferred my stuff into the new truck.
They told me that I couldnt do that and I had already agreed....lol, i told them Last I checked I still owned that truck and they better put the license plates on because i was leaving in it.
Suddenly, they came down 1.5% on financing and said they would pay for a second key.

Did you haggle with him on price? Guy, are you looking into a Tundra? I’m kicking that tire. I’m not in a rush to get a new truck, still looking. Considering Tacoma, also F150. I think Tacoma will do better in the mountains and snow. My Nissan Frontier 4x4 does excellent in the snow and mountains. Turning radius is also important to me, I got 2 boats and getting them in and out of their spot, tight turning radius is helpful.

These trucks are too expensive. The GMC Canyon ATX4 is $60K, Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison even higher.
Toyota IForce Maxx or go home.

Toyota IForce Maxx or go home. The wife and I went to go look at the AT4s yesterday. It seems like silver is hard to come by. I would of pulled the trigger on a AT4X if they weren't so damn expensive.

Toyota IForce Maxx or go home. The wife drives a 2021 Bison with the baby diesel, It was not 60K but that is a few years back now. Awesome little truck but back seat is tiny.

Holy hell! I put my deposit down, and was in the process of booking my flight for Friday when I get a text informing me that the truck had 4k miles on it..... they told me that they couldn't lower the price, because it was already discounted. Crazy that they let the process get so far before dropping that one on me.
Looking into the 3.0 AT4, the wife really liked them.

Looking into the 3.0 AT4, the wife really liked them. If used as a demo and therefore never titled, it's still considered new. Obviously they should have told you sooner in the process ... like right away. Pulling another cab on a 3.0L Duramax, this time for a front cover oil leak, the second one we've had. Bulletin put out a couple weeks ago about the rear main seal leak we've fixed two of.
Pass the gravy.

GasGuzzler, What engine is more reliable? The 3.0 diesel or the 6.2 V8.

Told my son about BJ at Freeman, as he's in the market for a 1794 Tundra. They gave him a great sales price on the Tundra, but not so great on his '22 GMC Sierra SLT 3.0, 4x4 Crew. They were about 4k off on his trade.

I’ve never done a trade with BJ. I don't know if that’s really his deal. I do know he moves Tundras with no haggle.
If you need a Lexus, there’s a guy on here who works for Sewell. He did me right for wife’s RX350, 4K less than Park Place.

You might see if Brian Spagnola on here still does in / outs with a working dealer. Many years ago I did this

GasGuzzler, What engine is more reliable? The 3.0 diesel or the 6.2 V8. There's 100 times more 6.2L gas engines out there so it's hard to say. GM has been making a version of the 6.2L since 1998. They've been making the 3.0L for four years. With purchase cost and maintenance cost being so much higher, a little savings in fuel is meaningless. Nearly everything under the hood is close to impossible to service and tight emissions regulations are a pain. The internet can be a very misleading place when it comes to these subjects. One day I am going to make a chart of the LS/LT engine issues by year and how common the issues really were. People scream about the lifters but there were at least six different kinds of lifter failures from 1998-2024. The 2022's have main bearings issues. No known issues with the 2023-2024. '25's are coming soon. Every company builds items with traceable issues. Remember the 700R4/4L60/4L60-E transmission? GM made it (or had it made) from the early 1980's until a few years ago. Each upgrade showed another weakness. The design kept evolving. I’ve never done a trade with BJ. I don't know if that’s really his deal. Extremely rare for a salesperson to have any say or involvement in trade pricing ... or pricing at all. They're just middle men.
Pass the gravy.
