I just read an article in Bowhunter magazine about tuning your trad bow. I felt kinda dumb that this never occurred to me. I’ve got a buddy who’s a bit of a trad expert that I’m gonna hit up after season to help me get tuned so that hopefully I can try hunting with my recurve next season. Mainly just brace height and knock height, you can get off in the weeds on spine and point weight but most guys overcomplicate it. If you don’t have a clean release ( and most don’t) it’s gonna do all kinds of funky stuff. Let the fletching do its job and let it rip
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I got it dialed in pretty good last year by trimming my bare shaft and experimenting with nock height. But if you don’t use it, you lose it. I just can’t shoot my trad bow that good anymore.
