Not familiar. But if you’re looking to buy a new Toyota. Call BJ at Freeman Toyota. No nonsense. No tire kickers.

Not sure. But called BJ, who I was referred to. He asked what color you wanted I told him. He said he ordered it and come pick it up the next day.

Be ready. He moves cars and has zero time for tire kickers.

Toyota of Richardson called me saying they had a Tacoma Trailhunter in stock and when could I come look at it.

I asked, "how much"? He said $68,000, I laughed in his face. roflmao

If they are taken care of they will run well over 200K miles. They also hold their value very well compared to domestic garbage.

My 2007 Sierra has 190K on it and is worth almost what I paid for it in 2014...mostly because I bought it cheap but still...

The Car Guy gets paid to recommend certain dealers or products.

I have heard great things about Freeman Toyota.

Up here you have to be crazy to buy a "metroplex" make new.

Pass the gravy.

I got a little over 10k off of MSRP at both lots. I'm probably gonna buy the one closer to home even though it's 3500 more because it's an Iforce Max.

Yeah, a little more power, and torque, but no benefit on mpg. Minimal benefits for an extra 4k. I was gonna go with the I force max here in san antonio, just so I didn't have to flight to dallas and bring it back.

I second Freeman, I bought two toyotas from sales Person Les, he retired since but they made the process no nonsense, didn't have to play games and didnt have to deal with sales schmucks.

Also, to add, Lewisville toyota is where I bought my current used ram 2500 a few years ago, they were total d-bags. Lied about everything from interest rate to how many keys they had for the truck.

I ended up walking out of the sales office after they had taken the licenses plates off of my trade in, they had taken so long i had went ahead and transferred my stuff into the new truck.

They told me that I couldnt do that and I had already agreed....lol, i told them Last I checked I still owned that truck and they better put the license plates on because i was leaving in it.

Suddenly, they came down 1.5% on financing and said they would pay for a second key.

I’m kicking that tire. I’m not in a rush to get a new truck, still looking. Considering Tacoma, also F150. I think Tacoma will do better in the mountains and snow. My Nissan Frontier 4x4 does excellent in the snow and mountains. Turning radius is also important to me, I got 2 boats and getting them in and out of their spot, tight turning radius is helpful.

These trucks are too expensive. The GMC Canyon ATX4 is $60K, Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison even higher.

Toyota IForce Maxx or go home.

The wife and I went to go look at the AT4s yesterday. It seems like silver is hard to come by. I would of pulled the trigger on a AT4X if they weren't so damn expensive.

The wife drives a 2021 Bison with the baby diesel, It was not 60K but that is a few years back now. Awesome little truck but back seat is tiny.

Holy hell! I put my deposit down, and was in the process of booking my flight for Friday when I get a text informing me that the truck had 4k miles on it..... they told me that they couldn't lower the price, because it was already discounted. Crazy that they let the process get so far before dropping that one on me.

Looking into the 3.0 AT4, the wife really liked them.

If used as a demo and therefore never titled, it's still considered new. Obviously they should have told you sooner in the process ... like right away.

Pulling another cab on a 3.0L Duramax, this time for a front cover oil leak, the second one we've had. Bulletin put out a couple weeks ago about the rear main seal leak we've fixed two of.

Pass the gravy.

Told my son about BJ at Freeman, as he's in the market for a 1794 Tundra. They gave him a great sales price on the Tundra, but not so great on his '22 GMC Sierra SLT 3.0, 4x4 Crew. They were about 4k off on his trade.

I’ve never done a trade with BJ. I don't know if that’s really his deal. I do know he moves Tundras with no haggle.

If you need a Lexus, there’s a guy on here who works for Sewell. He did me right for wife’s RX350, 4K less than Park Place.

You can price 'em cheap when you make it up on the trade, it's the oldest trick in the book. It's all about the difference.

You might see if Brian Spagnola on here still does in / outs with a working dealer. Many years ago I did this

There's 100 times more 6.2L gas engines out there so it's hard to say. GM has been making a version of the 6.2L since 1998. They've been making the 3.0L for four years. With purchase cost and maintenance cost being so much higher, a little savings in fuel is meaningless. Nearly everything under the hood is close to impossible to service and tight emissions regulations are a pain. The internet can be a very misleading place when it comes to these subjects. One day I am going to make a chart of the LS/LT engine issues by year and how common the issues really were. People scream about the lifters but there were at least six different kinds of lifter failures from 1998-2024. The 2022's have main bearings issues. No known issues with the 2023-2024. '25's are coming soon. Every company builds items with traceable issues.

Remember the 700R4/4L60/4L60-E transmission? GM made it (or had it made) from the early 1980's until a few years ago. Each upgrade showed another weakness. The design kept evolving.

Extremely rare for a salesperson to have any say or involvement in trade pricing ... or pricing at all. They're just middle men.

Pass the gravy.

OK, so I have Freeman info to my son who also has a '22 SLT 3.0 duramax. Freeman has made him a heckuva deal on a new '24 1794 Tundra with that trade. He has 52k miles on his 3.0. I've been very critical of the latest '22-'23 Tundra debacle, but have understood the issues are mostly fixed/gone with the '24's. Is this correct? What would you guys think about the vehicle trade? Not asking about the money aspect, just the difference in vehicles as I've never driven a new Tundra.

They are very smooth. He should be able to get 10k off of those 1794s

I've had several of the GM V8's and they've all been great. You'll love the truck. That's just about where my son is at on the Tundra.

The thing about Toyota is the dealer will add 4k in add ons above MSRP.

Not if you call the guy Roll Tide keeps telling you to call. I bought a sequoia from him in 2020 and a coworker just bought a tundra from him about two weeks ago.

I've seen dealer adds before too from Toyota dealers, but BJ and Co didn't do that on my son's offer.

Nice.

The reason I'm flying to Dallas this morning is because the dealer didn't pull any if that BS, and I got 11k off MSRP.

I found the color I wanted in the 3.0 in Austin with 6k off, then the guy tells me it has 3k in add ons..... bang

Congrats on the new ride. Don't blame you on the dealer adds.....I'm out on that. Did you get the 5.3 or big V8? Regardless I bet you will really enjoy it.

I got the big V8, man does it sound good in sport mode, and yeah I'm enjoying it. Lots have changed in the last 15 years, my 09 didn't have all the creature comforts this one has.

Did your son close on that 1794? I was on the hunt for a hard to find Limited TRD off road, with the factory 3 inch lift. There was only 2 in Texas, but couldn't get a deal done. The first one sold while I was in Ann Arbor for the game, and the second one was the one with 4k miles on it that they didn't tell me about until the last minute. Buying a car sucks.....

Very nice. My son is close to a deal, so probably by the end of the week. Enjoy your truck. My buddy has 160k on his 2020 AT4 with that engine. Hasn't had any problems at all with it.

Did that on 2017 Tundra Pro with sales guy at Mount Pleasant. Met a game warden at Lavon that told me to call him. I asked how much and he said MSRP. I told him to pound sand. He said "your loss". I said "no yours". Bought a TSS and minus the color matched bumper ends I made my own PRO for about $7k less. I thought about doing the bumper ends but they get road rash from rocks.

So you were after a Tundra, but ended up with a Chevrolet?

Chevy's have a nice ride. Every one I have driven or have owned was like riding on a pillow. Very nice, comfortable ride.

Congrats.

Yeah, i like it. The wife is on the list for the new GX550, but she likes GMC interior.... she might make the jump to the Yukon Denali, or AT4. The refresh looks nice!

Pic of my truck, and the refreshed Yukon.

I like the color. Last two trucks I've had, has been silver. Good color for me since I never wash it, lol.

I like the wheels, too.. Did you upgrade the tires? Part of an off-road package?

Anyone know for sure if Toyota fixed the '22-'23 Tundra problems/debacle with in the '24 models. Can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Sweet ride SA, and those Yukon's are super nice........and $$$$$.

The color is Sterling metallic and yeah, I like it. It's kind of hard to find because it's an actual upgrade. Most grey AT4s are thunderstorm Gray, which is that flat Gray that's popular nowadays.

The truck has the Carbon Pro package which up grades to 20" wheels with gray accents, wrapped in some Wranglers.

Who's to say, besides debris in the engines they also addressed the cradle that holds the main seals in february of 2024.

I'm guessing any Tundra's built after march should be safe, but who knows If anything else pops up. Toyota is spending a billion dollars putting in 100000 brand new motors in recalled, trucks. At least they're not running away from the problem.

And yeah, I'm not letting my wife see the AT4 Ultimate, or the Denali ultimate, those are 100k....

Very nice GMC. The Denali Ultimate self-driving cruise control and suede covered pillars and headliner are a little much, as is the price. Saw them sell for MSRP+ when they first came out.

I know where a 2024 Yukon Denali in Sterling Metallic is ... advertised for $4K off...

Pass the gravy.

I have had the 2024 Tundra with I Force Max engine for a year!!! The longer I own it the more I love it, Seriously the issue I have is going too fast without realizing it First couple times I passed cars I looked down and was 100+ and it was way too smooth!!! And

Nope, no Texas pinstripes just yet.... I still have my old 2500 for that.

Wow Ese, tough words against the #1 selling truck in USA for years/decades. That silver has a tint of blue/gray in it doesn't it?

Lol, the look is plain to me, the super duty is nice but that F150 not so much. The Ram is also very plain in my eyes.

Negative no blue tint, it is a silver flake. It's just catching the blue reflection from the sky.

I got custom pinstripes 5 days after buying my 2024 Platinum F250. It was too pretty for me. Wifey was not impressed.

Even worse with a topper. Look like a Brady Bunch station wagon.

No, WD just does not give a F. It is still a nice truck but he will use it like one. He does not care about resale value as it is his truck and he can do what he wants. When I grow up I want to be like him lol

I've always wondered how BP can work full time as a LEO and do realestate venture's on top of that. That's just too ambitious for me. grin

Oh man. There’s a guy on here that works at Sewell. He did me right on a Lexus. Gregz. Saved me a quick 4K from park place.

I might have to reach out to him, the wife doesn't like our guy down here.

I was told by our local Lexus dealer they would call me in May to test drive a GX. I haven't heard back. I did shoot Gregz a PM here and he responded it would be quite a wait for one if I ordered it. I think I am going to wait a year or so to get one until they are on the lots.
