Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms on a four-year, $240 million contract extension ahead of Sunday's regular-season opener against the Cleveland Browns, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported, per sources.

Prescott's deal includes $231 million guaranteed and an $80 million signing bonus, per Rapoport and Pelissero.

You take that back. Judd is not such a bad guy.

Signing Dak is a mistake. It was time to start over.

My son inlaw just came over and told me about Daks deal.

Think about it, 4 years $240 mil= $60 mil per year, $231 Mil guaranteed. Considering how he has failed in the playoffs every year, especially how bad he played just last year at home against Green Bay.

That is just stupid money to give him now? They should have let him play this final year, if he leads the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and wins then okay give him that kind of money, if he has another playoff bust then pay him a lot less or let him go elsewhere.

Even if he did lead them to a super bowl win, I doubt there would be hardly any difference in the money they would have to pay him then vs what they paid now.

Watson was the best trade for Houston to Cleveland. He has proved to be a dud and the Cowboys are exploiting it.

Dak is doing a respectable job today. CD Lamb looks good but OMG Parsons is a monster out there and earning his money.

If you tell me they keep winning 12 games a season, like they have last 3 seasons which has not been done since the SB days, I’ll take it.

The thing I find curious….everyone who thinks Jerry Jones is only about rolling in money…let’s assume for a sec that this is true. Wouldn’t Jerry, and like minded people want to monetize that mindset? Which would be to win championships? Would not championships bring in money in multiples of 12 win seasons?

I think you can certainly argue his methods, but I find it hard to question his motive.
