Have a small bunch that hang out behind our house. A couple are hard horned and a couple still in velvet….all these pics are from today.

A couple of years ago we had a lone doe with twins hanging around. Now we have 9-10 does and 3-4 young bucks. Have the standing feeder throwing every morning and the turkey feeder is filled with corn, protein pellets, and milo. They use it like a creep feeder 24/7…🤦‍♂️ and we don’t have any turkeys….roflmao

In the last few days we have shown a handful in hard antler. About normal with most hard in the next week or so and then a few trickle after. Highest scoring buck Ive killed was on this lease in 2020 and he was the last to shed that we could tell. He still had a little velvet on a tip when I killed him Oct 5. Having said that, I have no idea if size or age or anything else determines when one individual sheds over another.

The bucks here are still in velvet as of right now. I’m looking at a good one as I’m typing this.

SC Okla I’m estimating 75% hard horn. Most big guys are later to that party.

Taking place now. It'll be his last time to shed.

my bigger bucks are out of velvet. The smaller ones are still in velvet but not for long.

Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!
