Zero days left. Haskell… Looking good. You should be done by 7:45am I wish I could hunt there, I was just scouting around. From what I heard that field he leased it to an outfitter, go figure. Looked like the birds were on the move yesterday.

Tara didn’t even break a sweat. She is in great shape, I been taking her on “power walks” all summer. Power walks is a term I invented, that’s where I take her for a walk, and I’m on my bike. We go just as fast as she wants.

Only hunted two of my 8 fields this weekend. Hard opner for me is next weekend. One field with 13 guys were limited by 8am.. The other field was a little slower but they got a lot of shooting in.

How many rounds (boxes) did you shoot this morning?
CHIME IN! 25 shells exactly. Every time I mounted my gun I dropped a bird, but it took 2nd or 3rd shot on some. I have shot season last season.

Just a little Squamous Cell Cancer. Cutting it out wasn't that bad. If it were anywhere but my nose, they would have thrown a bandage over it and be done with it. It was the reconstruction of my nose that sucks and they are not done yet. It looks and feels 10 times worse than that picture right now. Swollen and black eyes and it keeps bleeding. I'll get after them when I get through this mess.

Dang, sorry to see this. Exactly 10 years ago I was in MD Anderson getting diagnosed with this cancer, I obviously missed that season. But after a tough several months of chemo, radiation and some surgery, I am still here kicking and back hunting. Good luck with your fight and get back in the field soon!

Could’ve had a dry limit if I was a better shot. Was about 2min away from getting stuck down there, glad I got out when I did. Teal were flying all over which was nice to see
