I’ll be getting to work at about 6am tomorrow morning. Need to take down, relocate, and out back up some hog panels at two feeder sites we relocated. Will work until 12-1, break for lunch, then spend the afternoon getting camera chips. Might sit for a pig late evening if any are showing up, got the corn up last weekend

Got to mow the yard tomorrow afternoon. Shouldn't be too bad.

The heat is no joke! The older I get the less I can tolerate it, so I'm not that anxious to get out there even past say 10 am.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Been down here since early Friday, but no TXTrophy. He could’ve supervised from the “shade”. One thing for sure, he wouldn’t have been thinking about no mid-life crisis purchase opportunities. Although there’s been a little bit of a cold front, he’d be thinking more along the lines of, “This place ain’t hell, but I think I can see it from here.”.

Life be good. Be home tomorrow. Next time down, move blinds and blade the dozens of miles of ranch roads. Everybody will be here for that. It’ll all get done. Expensive deer this year and it’s all good - every bit of it.

This is why I come to Texas in March to hog hunt.

If your plan is for one hundred years, educate children."

Went to my place Friday around noon with a few friends. Ended up going to the south llano and did some fly fishing.

Went out at night and got 2 pigs. Next day, back to the river for more fishing.

Supposed to get some rain this week so I’ll head back up there and start getting ready for season. I figure I’ve got a good 2-3 days worth to get it suitable for season. Next year gonna have to paint the cabins and do some deck repair. Prolly do that in the spring.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Tons done. Equipment loaded up. Easy peasy morning and maybe romantic lunch tomorrow with Wifeypoo. The chef and maid were worthless, but the prime sirloins, back strap, deer sausage breakfast tacos, marinated pork steaks, numerous avocados and the Promised Land were great.

I went 3 weeks ago to start erecting a new porch roof for our main building (Old one blew down back during that bad windstorm a few months ago)
I set (8) new 4 X 4 post 2 foot deep with Quickrete over 3 days. I would set one then go inside watch some TV and cool down for an hour or so. Thankfully it was in sandy soil so using the post hole digger was not much of a chore. Planned on going back this weekend to finish it up as a group. One of the other guys wants to have the local carpenter who re skinned his building give us a quote to finish it.
LOL I wish he would have suggested that back before I put in all that work.
