When I think of surprise bucks, I think of deer I've never seen before and are not hanging around for long. Not deer I might be surprised to see actually in person, not a buck that might show up a mile or two away from his normal stomping grounds, but a real surprise buck. No sightings, no pics, no history. They show up for a day, sometimes a week, but they move on and will never be seen again. Most are young bucks, we take note but don't worry too much about them, but every now and then we get some that will keep us up at night hoping they might swing back by.
