These have got me super excited now. I’ve see 3 in a bachelor heard with longer brow tines even that look so similar. One is a 10; but with some kickers, and super tall. All in velvet of course. Just jaw dropping. Thank you the added excitement. No dove shooting because of it now. Just going to make sure I keep the water flowing for them into a trough because the tank/pond really went down this last two weeks. Another month, won’t be much left. Wish I could click my heels together and it was October.

When my new bride first started hunting with me about 48 years ago, she shot a clean 12. Back then, "high fence" wasn't even a word. and neither was protean or any of the other things they have now to increase horn size. She asked if we were going to get it mounted. I said no as money was not easy to come by. She then asked, "when do you think I will kill another 12?" I thought and said, Never. so we drove straight to the taxidermist. That 12 pointer is still hanging on our wall 48 years later. PS...its the only clean 12 pointer that either one of us have ever killed. Lets go Mr T.

My 2 cents on the 12 point. I am 60 years old and have been hunting since I was 10. 50 years of hunting many counties in Texas . Have probably seen 5 or 6 twelve pointers and none without kickers . So the odds are not in your favor, especially without kickers . Now days I just look for mature bucks. Shot my most unique buck in 2019 on a 400 acre place . He was 12 points . That hunt was the highlight of my career and probably will stay that way . I still love to hunt hoping for the big one but I am realistic . I have never posted the bucks pictures but will now.

I dug out this pic from a clean typ 12 that I passed in 2016. When I saw pic I remembered there was another one in same area but can’t find pic. I also remembered another from about 2020 on my current lease but I’ll have to dig for pic. I was asking a friend that hunted with me a bunch about this and he said he has killed 4 clean typ 12s and one with 5 kickers. Two of those were on my leases that I had forgot. I told him y’all wouldn’t believe it so he sent me pics just now of all of them. All low fence. Maybe they aren’t as rare as I thought but that guy does hunt hard and a lot.

One off our current lease I forgot about. Passed him in 2020 to give another year and we never saw again. Not good pics, sorry. Of course, none one these are close to 160 net that the OP originally ask about.
