You don’t see 6’s like this very often. He was actually a 7 last year with similar brow tines but they’ve gotten even longer this year.

I’m not the best at aging but I think he’s 4.5. Possibly 5.5.

Here’s a couple more pics of him.

Think your age estimate is pretty good, don't think he'd see another year on my place.

I’d let him go one more year just to see what he does at 6.5. Hell of a frame,

We had a 140 class 6 point on our lease. The rules said 8 point or better. So, we all got a good look at him

Not nearly as impressive as yours; this guy has a tiny dogcatcher that he'll likely smooth off (he did last year). According to history I think he's 5.5 this year.

Unfortunately he has a relative about 2 years younger:

Years ago, we were taking some hunters on a ranch near Cotulla and a buddy from Mississippi killed a straight up 6 that scored 149 6/8" and won the Los Cazadores Contest. If I remember correctly, the buck had 29 6/8" main beams.
Adios,
Gary

With a mature solid 6pt everyone should put their name in a hat and have a drawing for the lease member that gets the go after it…. 2cents

Ditto!

I've never even seen a 6 point on our place.

I can imagine the competition between the family to go after it.

If he’s seen, he’s not getting another year.
