Looking for any recommendations you may have on an outfitter. Would love for you to share your experiences and pictures.

Thanks in advance.

Do you just want a niligi or do you want the historic Texas ranch experience also?

I’m fine with either. The only thing I don’t want to do is hunt them on a high fenced game ranch. I have no idea what outfitters are good so looking for recommendations.

I can recommend Josh Hartwick, his operation is first class with exclusive hunting on the Kennedy Ranch. Some very good bulls and cows, and you will drool over some outstanding whitetail bucks..... the only animal hunted on the ranch is NILGAI.

Be sure and tell him I sent you, too! Oh, I forgot, you can fish from his dock at the cabin for free!

My brother and I hunted with this outfit a couple years ago. It was set up by a third party, but you can contact the ranch and book directly. Would absolutely hunt there again. Here is my write up on the hunt:

Nilgai hunt

Ramsey and I hunted the King Ranch in February. We’ve booked another hunt for Jan 2026. Awesome experience and amazing place, can’t wait to go back but I’ve got to work on my freezer before I can do anything else haha.

When looking for a good outfitter, it’s all about finding one that matches your specific adventure style, whether it’s for hunting, fishing, hiking, or something else entirely. If you're into something like guided trips or tours, I recommend checking out reviews online—sites like TripAdvisor, Yelp, or even specific forums related to your interest can give you some great insights from others who’ve been there, done that.If you’re after recommendations for gear, brands like REI, Patagonia, and The North Face are known for their quality and durability. They’ve got a range of options for different budgets and needs.

Only AI would recommend the MOST anti-hunting companies on a hunting forum

"Why?" is my question. What on earth does it accomplish? Bizarre new troll type?

It’s how AI learns. I see them on several forums I post in.

I went with Wildlife Systems back in January. Hunted on the East Foundation's El Sauz unit. Top notch all the way around!

I am booked with Double Shot Outfitters in January. I contacted several of the recommendations but they were booked already.

On to load development.

Am I missing something? Who would stock nilgai on a low fence ranch?
