Ese, some nice tracks out that way, mostly in San Destin and North and East of there. Ladies and U can get some golf related, outlet shopping in as well, UA, Adidas, Nike, Puma, Oakley..

The nice part of Oak Cliff! Cool old course for sure.

I grew up in Richardson and played Sherill Park and Firewheel all the time. Good memories

Great area, try and play Kelly Plantation if you can. We’re actually moving about 30 miles east of there in about 6 months. Been working my butt off trying to get this house ready to put on the market.

Back from 5 days at the Broadmoor. 4 competitive rounds on the toughest greens I’ve ever played. It’s home of the 2025 Senior Open. I will enjoy watching those guys struggle.

Called Plantation golf course around 7:30 this am and asked if a solo walk on and tee off around 9, dude said I can get you a 9:07 tee time, me is the course in good shape, him yes.

Get to # 1 tee box and it is me all alone banana2

Played pretty fast the first 5 holes then the back up began bang Cannot stand slow play so I drove through holes 7-10 and 11 was wide open. Caught up to a couple of old Asian guys with some young Asian gals all playing from the red but they played fairly fast so it ended up a good morning.

Spared y'all, no selfies today laugh

Lol, yeah. It's a good time, a bunch of couples do it.

I had the best driver performance I've ever had today. I bought a new Ping 430 LST 9* and fitted it with a Tensi 65 gram stiff shaft. This thing does all the work for me. I knew I was hitting it straight in my sim, and was so glad to see it transfer to the course. 3rd place two man scramble, the wife amd and I.

Since courses plan around 4-somesomes, I expect to have to wait as a single but it's not just waiting that is frustrating. It's DUMB waiting I hate. Like when two guys in a cart pull to a weird spot then both walk to a ball, one hits it, then they walk to the other, then back to the cart. Not many Asians up here but my experience at WinStar and in Denton County is they are SLOWer than SLOW. Easy to offend too if you try and get them to get moving. The only course I skip holes on is my home municipal course because I pay the monthly fees and I am there for 45-72 holes per week. If I skip, I go back and fill in the blanks.

Tonight is my regular scramble money game. Supposed to be 100 with 15 MPH winds.

Pass the gravy.

As you mentioned above in Bold.

First slow down was two guys in a cart that were definitely Morons. Driving back and forth to each others ball multiple times, sometimes hitting a second shot while I was on their heels waiting bang

Then on #10 which is always a challenge because you have two good size bodies of water you have to carry. There were four old geezers on the backside of the first carry with their telescoping ball retriever shagging balls out of the water, It was smooth sailing after that.

Stub, you mentioned Plantation above. My wife and I used to live in those apartments off #1 or #10 (they’ve flipped them so many times).

Been going through boxes doing the “deep clean” trying to rid the house of clutter and came across this old scorecard. My lowest round ever and it was at Plantation. Wish I could still hit the ball like that.

My Stetson is off to all you guys still playing the game. There is such satisfaction in a solid drive, a nice fairway iron and a well-executed putt! I was never much good at it and gave it up when my daughter was born 35 years ago.
However, finding golf balls every time I walk by the Sweetwater Country Club, I decided I should order a golf ball mortar from Petersen Arms. Does that count? grin

Paid $10 to win $45 with a -8 over nine holes in a 4-man scramble last night. Saturday and Sunday golf as usual.

Pass the gravy.
