Looking good. If I’m in the field it’s on my belt. Been that way for over 50 years. Same as my rifle. No plans to change. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/07/full-45514-425027-edf72b24_9172_41de_a54e_70287e8f4857.jpeg)

For $7.00 they can make it look brand new and it'll also be dangerous sharp. If you don't want it to look brand new, just tell them to regrind the edge and sharpen. Well worth the few one month and few $'s.

I have a couple of 119s, they'll cut you for sure. Ask TexasLefty if I'm any good using them.

I see that the folder has assumed the classic “folding ice pick” shape!

Some years ago I picked up a 110 at a pawn shop for something like $20 because it had a badly broken handle. I called the folks at Buck and was told to send it in. I asked what the charge would be and was told, "... naw, it needs a handle doesn't it." Got it back a week or so later with new handle and sharpened blade, no charge.

I carry a fixed blade buck. Diamond stone and a steel and it stays sharp enough to shave. I’m not into all the replaceable blade razor knife stuff, just more throw away stuff.

I love these bucks, but I carry an outdoor edge replacement blade folding knife I use on most of what it takes to field dress a deer. Hard to beat a knife that is always as sharp as a surgical scalpel and I don't have to sharpen.

I’m a fixed blade guy myself, but I do carry a thin lockback Gerber day to day

Next door neighbor for years gave me this just before he passed (along with a Ruger MKII tackle box pistol). It had been so used I had to remove latex paint from the holster and completely re-shape the blade. Unfortunately I did not take any pics until I started. Here's after a couple hours of work. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/YXZznsR/25-C8-AD2-D-82-F2-43-CB-B0-BC-460-D9633-A184.jpg) Brass was beat up. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/m4JkL7M/DB0-EEBC6-360-A-413-F-B04-A-91-C21-E280-C2-A.jpg) Getting it tipped out. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/jLZ63ZX/9-A405155-9751-4-BDC-A317-6-A3-D0-E7-A020-E.jpg) All done. Close up pics make it look wavier than it does to the naked eye. It pretty much looks new now. I was never able to get a Buck as sharp as what they returned to me on the three that they reworked. For $7.00 I'll send these back every few years or so, or as needed.

Can you PM me the address where you sent it? I have a 46 year old 110 that I'd love to get reworked.

Probably not sharp relative to what some of you would expect. I will get it out and check it but it was not fixed up to use. It was fixed up in memory of Hank and I did all the work. Some day one of my kids can be proud of it.
Pass the gravy.

I have 3 of those folders. Sharp enough to shave

I've had several buck knives back in the day. However, I am prone to leave em on the ground "somewhere" and have lost a bunch over the last 50 years.

I'll have to take Buck up on that offer. Not sure what model it is but I've got an old fixed blade Buck in the closet somewhere. I'll have to check if Schrade has a similar offer. I've got a couple of their folding knives too.
