I mean no disrespect, but those two guys on the roof in plain view do not resemble any preplanned counter sniper team set-up I have ever witnessed, and I've been involved in many. Maybe the SS does tactical operations differently, but much of my training came from the FEDs or retired FED so, I'm thinking we all do it the same. This entire operation looks rag-tag and uncoordinated, and a former SS team member who covered four presidents just confirmed on TV that the SS would have control of the entire operation. A Counter Sniper Team being hidden several hundred yards away would make more sense to me; these rooftops could have been occupied and secured by local police or armed observers/team members.

I heard he didn't even have a scope. Can't confirm. But if that is true, he was using the wrong setup. I can't speak for everyone here, but if I am shooting at 130 yards or more, I'd have a hard time connecting with a 4-5 inch target with irons. With a scope, no problem. But with Irons, problem.

I hit pretty consistent with my SBR 556 and red dot at 200 yards, but I know the hold through trial and error on a 1/3 IPSC target. Would be much harder on a 4-5 inch target especially moving, I probably couldn't do it. Open sights for me? No way.

Exactly. On a live target (for me, deer, pigs, and coyotes) 130 yards with irons or red dot, I am shooting for center mass because I would probably miss a head shot.

He was young, inexperienced and heart was probably pumping pretty good. Iron sights would be a tough headshot for him. He outsmarted SS, but couldn’t get a cheap red dot ? Or 50 dollar scope?

What he had probably worked just fine for defeating whole armies on his video game.
