I agree, this man has endured some serious attacks , and has survived all of them except the rigged farce trial in NY. As i have said before, he will get my vote. I am not trying to make light of someone dying, and three others getting shot. I am making light of the fact trump was resisting SS trying to get him off the platform. I don’t think you are, there’s two witnesses that saw the guy on the building, and they reported it to LE.
Why wasn’t this guy spotted by the SS?
They are supposed to be looking elsewhere.

The one guy interviewed on BBC said the SS couldn’t see the shooter because he was on the opposite side of the roof eave. That is corroborated by the video of the sniper reacting to the shooter popping up to shoot, followed by the first three shots.

Seems the SS /counter sniper was looking in that direction, just didnt react appropriately to the threat.

That goes back to the drones. Why would the SS not implement the use of drones for a Birds Eye view an eve shouldn’t get in the way of a presidential candidate being assassinated.

Or place a security detail on that roof, 150 yards away?

Those questions i can not answer. Maybe they thought they had it covered by having snipers covering those roofs?

I do not know of helos or drones are used in SS details. I bet they will be soon if not already.

This is one side of defense I do not know. He was a previous sitting president so they should have an awacs E-3, 707 or 767 watching everything.

Tragic what happened today. That said, this is not what I would want Trump to respond with. I’m sure his communications department came up with it, and they should have been calm enough to realize that it reads a little off, focuses on himself more than the dead/injured individuals, and lets the reader interpret what they want to about his stance on guns.

Sorry, I was referring to before he was shot. They knew the threat was there, it was reported (although seems to have been ignored by LEOs). They were expecting something from that roof, they were aiming right at it. But they left Trump on the stage. Waiting for a bad guy to pop up over the roof ridge and hope you can shoot faster than he can doesn't seem like a good way to protect a president.

1/3 of the paragraph is about the situation, and yes it’s at the end. He then follows up with much bleeding taking place by saying GOD BLESS AMERICA. It’s incoherent, it was scary no doubt but he didn’t need to sensationalize it, and it could have had a different purpose.
