Watched it live too. He grabbed his ear and winced. You could see blood running from it when secret service pick him up. He then pumped his fist to to the crowd. So hopefully only one shot hit and grazed his ear.

Judging from the reaction of the people behind him the attack came from the left hand side of the stage. If it came from the crowd in front there would be victims behind him.
