Tempura Fried Ice CreamIngredientsVanilla ice cream Whole almonds Pound Cake Chocolate Syrup Maple Syrup Whip Cream Blue Berries (optional) Tempura batter1 egg 1/2 Cup Flour 1/2 Cup CornStarch Ice cold water (This keeps the batter from becoming sticky) InstructionsScoop out ice cream and shape into a ball or rectangle, or whatever shape u want. Wrap up in plastic wrap Place in freezer for 2 hours, or until rock solid Slice pound cake to 2 cm thick slices Remove ice cream from freezer and unwrap. Wrap Ice cream with pound cake, wrap up again and place in freezer for 4 hours. Put maple syrup on almonds, then roast in oven for 10 minutes.

Let almonds cool, then cut into pieces. Prepare tempura batter. Beat 1 egg, add flour and corn starch, then ice cold water. Mix until lumpy. DO NOT mix until smooth. The lumps in the tempura batter kinda explodes during keep frying. Thats a real japanese tempura method. Prepare plate Deep frying (sorry I dont have any pics for this step because my hands were full and i had to flash fry. Heat up a deep fryer or pot to 350F (Important, must be HOT). Remove Prepped pound cake wrapped Ice cream from freezer and dip in Tempura batter. Slowly (and carefully) put the icecream into frying oil and fry for 40 seconds. (flash frying) Remove from oil and plate. Drizzle maple syrup on, put whip cream on top then top it off with almonds and blue berry.
