Do a search for (3.0 Duramax) . Been quite a bit of discussion in May and June.

'22 at 60,000 - engine has been great so far (had some front end issues - axle replaced) and pulls boat and camper well.

My 2400HD is at 200000 miles. I'm keeping it, but I know it needs a break. So I am trying to decide what I want to drive. I really like the 4runner, but it will be at MSRP, and they ain't cheap. I got to looking at the truck market since sales have slowed. Seems like there are some decent deals out there. I'm gonna keep my eye on the 3.0 duramax.

Pretty sad when the 24.8 mpg doesn't excite me as much as the 45 degree's at 9am does

We are picking up our new Tahoe later today, '24 High Country 3.0 Duramax 4x4. From my research, it should fit all our needs (wake boat, travel trailer, grandkids, etc.) while getting great mileage.

Mine was a 32ft, 6500lb bumper pull. No problem towing it at all.

dry weight on our travel trailer is about 6,000 pounds (2022 Forest River Salem Lite 263bhxl, GVWR 7,682) and overall length 32'9" bumper pull. Our boat is about 5,000 pounds dry (Mastercraft X2)

2020 4x4 with 87,000 miles. I have owned it since 9 miles and lifetime average is 21.9 mpg. (Pulling my tractor, boat and other equipment i have rented) Most tanks i see 24-25mph with city and hwy. 60/40
I put air bags in mine to help keep it level and safe when towing. Plus i added a leveling kit.
Love this truck!!
There's nothing better than killin it and grillin it!

We have the cab coming off one for oil leak repairs, likely next week. Took my 2500 in for an oil change last week. Was talking to the lead mechanic and he said due to the lack of miles on them they don’t know how long they would run, but the 150k mile timing chain will cost about $4k to replace. They had a sweet AT4X there with the 3.0 I was eyeing real hard. He said that one even with the 33” tires would get 25 mpg on the highway.

33 inch tires aren’t big anymore. Pending rim size most start around 32 on the small side.
My FIL’s has been I. The shop for over a month waiting on parts for a bad water pump or thermostat or both. Other than that it’s been a great truck, but I’m sure he is happy that it’s covered under warranty.

Even then a 35" tire is alot of wear and tear on a half ton. The AT4X is stock with 18 wheels. IMO and IME 18" wheel size is the magic number. I would even run 17" still. Lots of sidewall, much better ride and cheaper tire cost vs. a 20" wheel.

Pretty sure stock tire size on ram 1500’s with 20 inch wheels is 34 inches.
