Does the Wilson Combat banner at the top of the THF page link you to their website ? I’m getting a server not found message . . .

Hey, a quick question about the stainless WC barrels. How rust resistant are they? Is it reasonable to not worry about taking the handguard off to wipe the barrel down? I'm debating whether or not to have it powder coated.

For what it is worth..... I have had a 20" HAM'R stainless WC barrel for about four years and it is still looking good.

They are 416R stainless so like all heat treatable 400 series stainless they can rust a little if they don't have any type of corrosion protection like oil, Sheath or better yet Flitz polish.

I've settled on my personal "GO TO" load for the HAM'R and Lehigh Defense is DONE designing and adding HAM'R bullets to the product line !!!

This load is very accurate and kills hogs like they were struck by lightning (assuming good shot placement). The bullet sheds 4 pedals, the base expands to +/- .45" at 100yds and penetrates 40+ inches in water.

115gr Lehigh Tipped Xtreme Chaos, 2.260" OAL
27gr CFEBLK, lot #18
Fed 205
Sig mfg (WC headstamp) case
2560fps out of my 16.25" NULA M20S

Nice groups. I picked up a couple boxes of the 125s that you have on sale. Are these 115s going to replace the non-tipped versions?

When current stocks are sold out the complete Lehigh bullet line for the HAM'R will be these 5 SKUs:

110gr Controlled Chaos (no tip, new design)
110gr Tipped Controlled Chaos (new design)
115gr Tipped Maximum Expansion (already in the product line and for sale)
115gr Tipped Xtreme Chaos (already in the product line and for sale)
125gr Tipped Controlled Chaos (new design)

Could you design a bullet that will make it rain pulled pork sammiches on impact? That would be a nice one.

Yes, when the current stock is sold they are gone. It isn't a very good seller anyway. The new 110gr Tipped Controlled Chaos is a much better bullet than either the 95gr or 110gr CC

OK - I know its a specialized application, but the 95gr works well for me in an 8" barrel as the additional velocity helps the terminal performance out of the shorter barrel.

Better stock up while they're available and on sale. Are you hog hunting with them?

Haven't tried them on hogs yet - don't have as many of them around where we are so I'll need to hop in the truck to get a few of them with it.

This post is about my practice load in 300 Ham'r

With either Starline or WC cases, Speer 150gr btsp bullets, 25.2gr of CFE BLK and CCI 450 primers. With the 18" barrel (1-15 twist) it stays under 2 MOA all the way out to 600 yards. Actually... the load is probably a lot closer to 1 MOA and I add in the rest. In the 18" barrel I get 2176 fps (giving up 85 fps to factory ammo). The 11.3" barrel spits the 150gr bullet out at 2021 fps (giving up 95 fps vs factory ammo).

But the point of this post is I just finished up the 8th firing of 81 pieces of brass. Some of the brass came from factory loads and some from empty brass. I have lost zero pieces of brass to anything. Necks are good. cases are good. No splits at all. My plan was to throw away this brass and replace it. But now it will get reloaded a few more times until something fails.

For hog hunting I prefer WC factory ammo as it's more perfect than I know how to make.

"Group think" is not thinking. It is the lack of independent thought. It is a cancer of the mind.

I had a great hunt last night in spite of the OPPRESSIVE HEAT and HUMIDITY. This is 4 of the 12 hogs shot with the Lehigh 115gr Tipped Xtreme Chaos.

Nice cutters on the one. I keep looking at the 300 HAM'R but also think, how many pig AR's do I need?
