The reason they changed the youth was because kids could enter every hunt for free and then they would not show up , the 3 hunts did not fix this , they need to charge a deposit

Anyone who is familiar with the draw is also entering their kids in all the youth and adult hunts before they are old enough to go, picking hard to draw hunts just to gain them preference points for when they are old enough to go. Same as many adults have been doing forever to work the TPWD draw system to gain points during years they can't or don't want to go. But especially for kids because there is no cost to do so. It creates a situation where many of those only after points are going to be no shows when drawn. I don't think TPWD realizes just how many people try to game the system.

We all get those parks and wildlife hunting surveys every year. Fill them and tell them how we want to change extra for non Texans applying for our Texas public land hunts. Texas is also 99% private late so our public hunting options are already very limited

Entities have no concerns for individuals, resident or not. Their only concern is turning a buck.

Maybe they could start with handicapping just New Mexico residents 'cause...they hate our arse, especially in their public hunting program. That is the truth, NM can go pound sand. All they've done with their insane quota rules changes is increase poaching in their state. How so? How so?! Once most realize they have a snowballs chance of drawing in their lifetime they are going to just go hunt anyway. Its happening and NM doesn't have the man power to prevent it. Gotta give some semblance of hope otherwise you just cultivate outlaws.

Tags have to be limited and yes residents should get theirs first not NRs. When those poachers start loosing their vehicles along with their guns and other hunting gear and the ban on hunting the other states it is a deterrent.

My vote is Texas should charge non-residents based on the rate their state charges us. Seems reasonable and fair.
Dozer, mulched, and trackhoe work. Fencelines, senderos, tanks. Let me know if I can help with any dirtwork or construction.
