College athletics is a dog eat dog world, school loyalties by most athletes and most coaches is just a few $$$ or few million $$$$ away from being bought. NIL caught that up to all other aspects of society; I don't blame the players or coaches, I blame the Game...

No, I get it. Explain to me how it’s any different when Alabama stole Washington’s coach Kalen Deboer right after they lost in the championship game (and they tried to poach Sarkisian before him)? Or A&M breaking the bank to steal Jimbo? And then just poached Elko from Duke. And where did Buzz Williams come from? A&M took him from Va Tech. And where did Schloss come from. A&M poached him, too. So explain to me what’s different other than A&M getting shown up because it’s Texas?

Coaches preach about the portal and how it’s ruining college sports (it is) then one of them does this. It would’ve been fine without his “emotional” interview last night, now he’s just as full of it as the rest of them. Classless move and you can absolutely guarantee none of those a&m players have an ounce of respect for him as a man after it. He’ll fit right in at UT

“Poaching”, as you call it, is fine. It’s the way of the world today in big time college athletics.

But, did you listen to him excoriating the reporter when he questioned him last night? He’s a grown man, who flat-out lied when he was asked the question. As 68 said, if these people don’t have any integrity, how do we expect these kids to?

Schlossnagle isn’t the be all, end all of college baseball coaches….I am sure the Aggies will find a good one.

But he’s got no weight…in a world that needs some.

There is one thing I learned during my time playing ball at this level and at the next several levels. The simple fact is that most high-level baseball coaches are either good men or good coaches, but rarely both. The only one I ever played for, personally know, or encountered that I truly believe is both is Tim Tadlock.
