Just picked up a second Shield. Yes, they only hold 8.

I have been carrying an XDS9 for a few years. Figured out that while I shoot the pistol decent it always feels like I am having to work to get a good grip. Shot my brothers 365xl last weekend and points better naturally for me and I shot it a lot better right off the bat than the XDS I have been shooting for years.
So now thanks to Grabagun I have a 365XL for EDC. Just need to find a couple good holsters.

The only thing that would make my Kimber Micro 9 ESV better for me is for them to make it a double stack. I have tried several other carry pistols, but this one fits me the best.

Ruger EC9s. I have two of them. The trigger is much improved over the LC9s. I went into Academy last week to buy a Ruger EC9S. I ended up with a Taurus G3C though because of how it felt in my hands and I didn`t care for the safety on the Ruger or the mag release. I had seen several videos on the Taurus and all good reviews. Hopefully I won`t be disappointed and I saved a few hundred bucks. I also had to wait behind 2 other guys' that were also buying Taurus pistols. The Academy salesperson said they sold lots of Taurus pistols. Surprising. I`m curious how it will compare to my Springfield XDM 3.8.

I’m really liking my PSA Dagger Micro. Can get the C1 slide for integrated slide comp (g48 footprint) or the regular for the g43x footprint. Factory mags are 15 rounds of goodness. They all come factory milled for optic if you choose to run one too.

I flip between a FN 509c and a 365xl. Both are great and both have holosun red dots.
Not a fan of external safety’s, you better get your muscle memory down because sometime if you don’t it will cost you your life.Practice Practice Practice regardless of what you carry but this needs to be mastered. I had my muscle memory down to a science when the 1911’s were what people carried, but now to me just want to point aim and shoot.

When the dust all settled, I bought an Sig P365 Max. Shoots good. Doesn’t beat up my hand. Good sights. Not the greatest trigger, but not bad. Now I want an OWB holster with thumbbreak for it.

Yes, Macro. Sorry about the mislabeling. Oddly enough, my wife doesn’t mind shooting this pistol. Ordinarily she’s a revolver gal.

I have the entire lineup of P365 models and alternate between them quite frequently. Considering an aluminum grip module from 80% Arms.

Your main contenders are Sig P365/P365X, S&W Shield Plus, Springfield Hellcat, and Glock 43. These are tiny, last-resort firearms which are by definition not going to feel like a well-balanced range toy. Super small, easily concealable and reliable are the defining characteristics. 1) Most important is ability to reliably feed and shoot any 9mm ammo. The above contenders meet this criteria. Sorry - Kimber Micro is ammo sensitive as detailed by the manufacturer's owner manual. 2) Does the pistol come standard with night sights? This is critical for self defense. 3) Round capacity of 8 or more is fine... these are micro pistol. Buy the extended magazine if you need more, and by all means carry at least 1-2 backup magazines at all times. "Which is Best" is subjective... Yes, some of these pistols seem to be more snappy / muzzle flip. A lot of the feel and recoil management is shooter specific. How well your hands fit the grip makes the biggest difference. You just need to try them out and see what fits you best. What I have observed is that Glock fanboys always buy Glock...its just a fact of life. They are great guns, but ergonomically stagnant and don't fit smaller hands very well. Survey Says that the majority of shooters find either the P365/365X or Shield Plus to feel and perform the best.

SA Hellcat here. Had it 3+ years now and it has been uber dependable. I shoot it well. It hides well.

Practice with XDs9, waist level shooting, no aim. 3 yds. Didn't do too bad. 135gr cast, 4 gr WST. Next to work with the NAA 22LR.

I always get snide comments when we qualify every year, but it just fits my hand so much better and little sucker can digest any ammo I run through it.

P365XL with regular P365 grip module. Good inherent accuracy and shootability. Reliable. Slides into my Wrangler front pocket.
God is so good to me.
