I was a mcIntosh fan.

In 1976 what they call “old school” camo today was new school. I was a 16 year old H.S. Sophomore. Pimping what we called GI Joe Camo and a Jones style cap, I was cutting edge.

Those 7 ounce Millers were called “ponies”.

I was partial to the Apple IIe, but the Sansui my dad bought in Vietnam sounded way better....

When my dad was in Vietnam, he sent home a Teac reel to reel with a pair of Sansui 4000 & 5000 speakers. We shaked, ratled and rolled moms house.
My favorite reel was James Gang Rides Again, song Funk # 49.

LOVED to skateboard in 68, 69, 70. That looks like the Hobbie skateboard, high roller for back then! We had a couple streets in Dallas near Hillcrest Highschool which had a pretty good grade. If you could make it to the bottom without "Wiping Out" you were "cool". I can't remember if doing tricks on a ramp had started yet.

Freind of mine's dad had a great wood shop, we made our skate boards, we might have followed Hobbie design I vaguely remember that name. I just found this on the Internet, this is Free Flight Skateboard Park in Carrolton 1978, this is where we went. There was another Skateboard Park in Garland we used to go too, but Free Flight was closer so we went there mostly.

Yeah, you always got that for your date. Back then the drinking age was 18, and drinking and driving was very common, there was no open container law, cops really did not enforce drinking and driving.... I remember friends started getting killed drinking driving, and it was the late 70's when they started cracking down on it.

You guys ever skate the half pipe at Bachman Lake?

First time I heard of it. I was wondering if they still had skateboard parks in the DFW area. I know I still do a lot of crazy stuff at 62 and 3 quarters, but no way I step foot on a skate board these days.

Skaters are and always have been harmless.

Mom used to drive me and my buddies there or load up the bikes and go to BMX Hidden Trails off of 75 & Renner. Was great until they shut jack rabbit run down and all the dirt bikes came and rutted it all up.

I currently ride my bike all-round the concrete bike trails all around 75 & Renner. Rabbit Run have not heard of that in a long time. In the 70's we had a neighborhood Dad with a pick up and trailer, we would all load our dirt bikes up and he would take us to Rabbit Run and also the spillway behind Lake Lewisville. I can't even remember where Rabbit Run was, we never called it Jack Rabbit Run, first I heard of that.

It was on the east side of 75 and the BMX trails were on the West side. Good times!

Was Rabbit Run 75 and Renner? OMG, there was nothing there back then. My old neighborhood as a kid in the 70's was walnut hill and marsh lane, that was like driving to the sticks getting to Rabbit Run.

Yup. Was a driving range there as well in the NE corner. I grew up by the old Richardson square mall so it wasn’t too far of a haul. But I’m not old like you you got 12 years on me. Skateboarding became cool for me when Marty McFly went back to the future. lol

I had an all original '88 Decade too. Even had the original tires. Sold it on eBay a couple years ago (I only had it a couple years) for about $1500.
