Like someone said earlier, people get gas and then shop and leave the car at the pump. Thoughtless. There was a woman at the Comfort QT Monday, sitting in her car, at the pump, eating her lunch. She looked, as my dog says, "ruff."

Was in the Buc-ees at Madisonville yesterday. Gas prices were high relative to other stations. Being able to get to a gas pump was tough. Like someone said earlier, people get gas and then shop and leave the car at the pump. Thoughtless. Personally, I’d skip the place just to avoid the crowd, but those clean bathrooms are the attraction for women like my wife. That and the chocolate covered raisins.
One good thing about Buc-ees is that those clean bathrooms have caused the other stations to raise their bathroom game. People leave their vehicles at the pumps and go in and shop at the New Braunfels and Bastrop locations also. ![bang bang](/forum/images/graemlins/default/bang.gif)

Been making at least a monthly trip west down I-10 to one or another deer lease since July 1999. IIRC the Buc-cees in Luling opened circa 2003. Back then not every station had diesel ,and almost no place along I-10 had 20 lbs. of ice for $0.99. That, plus the fact that its' about 2.5 hours there from where I live made it a convenient stop. However 20 lb. ice is now $2.50 per bag and its a zoo. I have avoided that Bucc-ees like the plague in the last four years or so. Now I figure its going to be even crazier. Anywho.......... https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifesty...spanning-75000-square-feet-120-gas-pumpsQuien Sabe, GWB

Wish you could tag people in these threads, as TEXASLEFTY would be along in a few minutes to tell you that the bathroom, food, and not much else matters as it all begins and ends with how good their washer fluid is at getting bugs off and how well the scrubber and squeegee work! Lol Thanks

The breakfast beast burrito if you are there for breakfast. Not outstanding, but the best breakfast food they have imo. You have to go to the side and get extra red and green sauce. Makes a difference.

For the record I carry my own supply’s for cleaning windshields

Green salsa is in little cups over to the side and while not spicey enough has a really great flavor. My favorite is a bean, potato, egg, cheese taco with green sauce. Biscuits are good too...

Corn, ice, feeder batteries and a great sports fuel container (gas can) are great. Food, meh.

I used to be a regular to Buc-ee's almost every time to the lease or on a road trip. But, it's just takes too much time to get in and out of one now. My wife and I stopped at the Temple store last summer for her to go to the bathroom and me to gas up. Took almost 25 minutes from the time I exited to the time I got back on the highway. Just not worth the effort to fight the traffic and crowds.

I drove by the new one in Luling over the weekend which is the largest one now, they place was a damn zoo like it always is. I wonder if they are going to take down the old building to make room for more parking.
