I’ve got a 12inch 6.5G with as long as hand guard as possible, coming from a 15 inch hand guard on a patrol rifle it’s quite the change, but so much easier to maneuver.

I think this one will fit over the suppressor,

Inside Diameter 1.75 Inches

I can’t run it over the suppressor because I use the locking device

Even more since Hornady started making 50-round packs of 55-grain soft point that are great for hunting and very accurate target shooting in every AR I've tested them in so far, and they're $40 for a box of 50. I'm a reloader but it's not worth my time for 80 cents a pop.

900ft/lbs for the 5.56 vs 1600 ft/lbs for the Grendel. Certainly the 5.56 will get it done but the 6.5 G will get it doner.

So will the 6.8 SPC, 223 Valkyrie, 6mm ARC, 300 HAMR, 350 Legend……etc

But which caliber will still be on the shelves at academy in 10 years?

You mean like the .300 BO has been. I bought mine in 2011 when there wasn't as much out there in the AR platform as there is now. Ammo is always on the shelf, Hornady is still putting out new offerings. I recently found their 110 gr. CX as a new option for me. .Smith & Wesson still offers a great AR from their performance center, that's where mine came from. It's got a 5R barrel and a great finish. I did drop in a Timney trigger and it's been flawless since I got it 13 years ago. The cartridge works great for my application.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
